Salamander species in headwater streams on state and federal public lands in the eastern United States Salamander species in headwater streams on state and federal public lands in the eastern United States

This dataset includes stream and species data collected in headwater streams on public lands throughout the eastern United States. Data were collected to inform updated species range maps and provide data for large-scale modeling of species ranges using multiple data types. All salamander species encountered are included in the dataset.

Study Area Boundary and Surficial Hydrogeologic Units for the Great Basin Hydrologic Province and a portion of the Northern Mojave Desert Study Area Boundary and Surficial Hydrogeologic Units for the Great Basin Hydrologic Province and a portion of the Northern Mojave Desert

This U.S. Geological Survey data release presents the study area boundary and surficial hydrogeologic units for the Great Basin Hydrologic Province and a portion of the Northern Mojave Desert. The study area boundary delineates a spatial extent defined to include the Great Basin Hydrologic Province and a portion of the Northern Mojave Desert. Within this boundary, surficial hydrogeologic...

Simulated Snowpack and Meteorological Variables for the Upper Colorado River Basin and Vicinity Using CONUS404 Historical and Future Mid-Century Meteorology Simulated Snowpack and Meteorological Variables for the Upper Colorado River Basin and Vicinity Using CONUS404 Historical and Future Mid-Century Meteorology

This data release contains historical and future climate SnowModel (Liston and Elder, 2006; Liston and others, 2020; Liston, 2020) simulation outputs on a 100-meter (m) geospatial grid for a 392-kilometer (km) x 469-km model domain in the Upper Colorado River Basin. The historical simulation (control, CTL) was run from 1979-09-01 to 2022-08-31 using the CONUS404 meteorology dataset...

Wildfire building destruction and exposure in the conterminous United States, 2002-2022 Wildfire building destruction and exposure in the conterminous United States, 2002-2022

Wildfires pose a major threat to human life and property, but there is limited information for assessing numbers or precise locations of building losses at a national scale. This geospatial dataset was developed to identify point locations of all buildings destroyed by or exposed to major wildfire disasters from 2002-2022. The data include all wildfire events in the conterminous United...

Sedimentological Data from Streambanks and Adjacent Hillslopes in the Stony Clove and Woodland Creek Watersheds, Catskill Mountain Region, New York Sedimentological Data from Streambanks and Adjacent Hillslopes in the Stony Clove and Woodland Creek Watersheds, Catskill Mountain Region, New York

This data release contains results from the analysis of streambank and adjacent hillslope sediment samples collected from the Stony Clove and Woodland Creek watersheds in the Catskill Mountain region of New York State from July to October 2024. Fourteen or fifteen samples were collected from each of three depositional units — alluvium, glaciolacustrine clay, and glacial till. Results...

Preliminary digital terrain map of mélange and intact rock determined by interpretation of terrain details in the junction area of Coastal and Central belts of the Franciscan Complex between Gualala and Ukiah, northern California Coast Ranges Preliminary digital terrain map of mélange and intact rock determined by interpretation of terrain details in the junction area of Coastal and Central belts of the Franciscan Complex between Gualala and Ukiah, northern California Coast Ranges

A terrain-based map of a large area of Franciscan Complex delineates varied areas of erosionally resistant topography and contrasting subdued topography distinguished using differences in the detailed shapes of individual topographic elements that in these rocks indicate relatively intact rock or mélange. Most of the line work in the map is based on interpretation of small-scale aerial...
