Database of Geomorphic Features, Klamath River, California 2010 Database of Geomorphic Features, Klamath River, California 2010
The USGS, in cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, compiled a map of geomorphic features along a 140-km segment of the main stem Klamath River below Iron Gate Dam, CA. Flood disturbance within the study reach is produced by the combined effect of natural flows and reservoir releases. The physical response of the Klamath River...

A spatially and temporally intensive sampling study of benthic community and bivalve metrics in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, 2007-18 A spatially and temporally intensive sampling study of benthic community and bivalve metrics in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, 2007-18
Phytoplankton is an important and limiting food source in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and San Francisco Bay; the decline of phytoplankton biomass is one possible factor in the pelagic organism decline and specifically in the decline of the protected delta smelt. The bivalves Corbicula fluminea and Potamocorbula amurensis (hereafter Corbicula and Potamocorbula, respectively) have...

High-resolution multichannel minisparker, multichannel boomer and chirp seismic-reflection data were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and the University of Washington in February of 2017 west of Seattle in Puget Sound and in Lake Washington, Washington. Data were collected aboard University of Washington's R/V Clifford A. Barnes during USGS field activity 2017-612-FA. Sub-bottom...
Chirp sub-bottom data of USGS field activity K0211PS collected in Puget Sound, Washington in April of 2011 Chirp sub-bottom data of USGS field activity K0211PS collected in Puget Sound, Washington in April of 2011
High-resolution chirp sub-bottom data were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in April 2011 south of Bainbridge Island and west of Seattle in Puget Sound, Washington. Data were collected aboard the R/V Karluk during field activity K0211PS using an Edgetech SB-512i sub-bottom profiler. Sub-bottom acoustic penetration spans several tens of meters and is variable by location.
