Radiometric data collected from an uncrewed airborne system and handheld meters at the Grand Junction Regional Airport radiometric calibration facility, 2023-2024 Radiometric data collected from an uncrewed airborne system and handheld meters at the Grand Junction Regional Airport radiometric calibration facility, 2023-2024

Radiometric data were collected at the Grand Junction Regional Airport radiometric calibration facility in March 2023 and August 2024. The facility consists of five ~9 by ~12 m (30 x 40 feet) concrete pads, each 18 in thick. Each pad provides sources of radioelements that are spatially homogeneous (see Ward, 1978). Three pads are dedicated K, Th, and U pads, each of which contains high...

HEC-RAS and FLOW 3D HYDRO models used to evaluate alternative weir designs for the Millstone River at Blackwells Mills, New Jersey HEC-RAS and FLOW 3D HYDRO models used to evaluate alternative weir designs for the Millstone River at Blackwells Mills, New Jersey

Streamgaging weirs, like the ones used by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), play a critical role in providing accurate and stable streamflow data, but their presence can affect the passage of diadromous fish species such as river herring and American shad. In some situations, weirs existing in rivers and streams are no longer used because they were part of a farm irrigation system or...

Water-Quality Vertical Profiles in Clear Lake, Lake County, California Water-Quality Vertical Profiles in Clear Lake, Lake County, California

Clear Lake is a 180 km2 freshwater lake located approximately 120 km northwest of Sacramento in the California Coast Range. The lake is a popular sport-fishing destination, however, there are fish consumption advisories associated with mercury (Hg) contamination for several species. The lake has three arms: a large open-water region to the northwest (Upper Arm), a smaller and narrower...

Data to improve the understanding of groundwater quantity and quality contributions to Lake Huron Data to improve the understanding of groundwater quantity and quality contributions to Lake Huron

This dataset was compiled and analyzed to support the goals of quantifying groundwater contributions to Lake Huron and exploring the impacts of groundwater on Lake Huron processes in accordance with the Lake Huron Cooperative Science and Monitoring Initiative 2022 field season. This data release contains three child items that describe 1) the characterization of the Lake Huron Basin into

Gastrointestinal seeds collected from invasive Burmese pythons (2014-2021) and Black and White Tegu lizards (2016-2022) in South Florida Gastrointestinal seeds collected from invasive Burmese pythons (2014-2021) and Black and White Tegu lizards (2016-2022) in South Florida

Seeds extracted from the gastrointestinal contents of Burmese pythons (Python bivittatus) and Black and White Tegu (Salvator merianae) lizards in South Florida were sorted and identified to genus or species. Seeds were then categorized as invasive (category I: history of negative impacts or category II: potential for negative impacts), native, non-native, threatened, endangered, and...

California 270-meter Basin Characterization Model using Weather Generator Scenarios, Part II - Monthly Climate and Hydrology California 270-meter Basin Characterization Model using Weather Generator Scenarios, Part II - Monthly Climate and Hydrology

This data release includes the downscaled climate inputs from four Weather Generator Scenarios and hydrologic outputs using the Basin Characterization Model (BCM) version 8 (v8), described in Flint and others (2021a), with a 270 by 270-meter spatial resolution at a monthly time steps from water years 1916 to 2018 for California. Weather Generator scenarios defined as: BaseW = baseline...
