The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Water, sediment, and rock chemistry data from within and near the Florida River watershed in southern Colorado, April, May, and August–September, 2022 Water, sediment, and rock chemistry data from within and near the Florida River watershed in southern Colorado, April, May, and August–September, 2022
This data release is composed of several datasets that contain water, sediment, and rock chemistry results from samples collected within and near the Florida River watershed in southern Colorado. Samples were collected during three sampling events in April 2022, May 2022, and August–September 2022. The data will aid investigators in understanding the sources and seasonality of aluminum...
Airborne Thermal Infrared and True-color Imagery and Longitudinal Profiles of Stream Temperatures, McKenzie River Basin, Oregon, September 1999 Airborne Thermal Infrared and True-color Imagery and Longitudinal Profiles of Stream Temperatures, McKenzie River Basin, Oregon, September 1999
This dataset includes high-resolution thermal infrared (TIR) and true-color images collected from crewed aircraft and a point shapefile and corresponding comma-delimited tabular data representing the longitudinal spatial patterns of water surface temperature in the surveyed streams in the McKenzie River basin, Oregon. The USDA Forest Service, McKenzie River Ranger District contracted...
Imidacloprid concentrations and trends in United States Rivers, 2013-2022 Imidacloprid concentrations and trends in United States Rivers, 2013-2022
This data release presents model inputs and outputs to support an investigation of occurrence and temporal changes of imidacloprid from the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Quality Network spanning 77 sites between 2013 and 2022. Imidacloprid is a neonicotinoid insecticide used to control a wide range of agricultural and non-agricultural insect pests. The Seasonal Wave and...
Red Spruce Crop Tree Release After 20 Years in West Virginia Red Spruce Crop Tree Release After 20 Years in West Virginia
In 2005, a silvicultural restoration study was implemented to observe the response of individual red spruce to various percent basal area (BA; m2) removal treatments of competing hardwood species. These treatments consisted of four different basal area removals: control was 0 percent, low was about 33 percent, medium was about 67 percent, and high was about 100 percent around individual...
Cosmogenic 10Be and 26Al Surface Exposure Data and Ages for Middle Pleistocene Terrace Deposits Along the Rio Grande, Sunshine Valley Sub-Basin, Southern San Luis Basin, Costilla County, New Mexico Cosmogenic 10Be and 26Al Surface Exposure Data and Ages for Middle Pleistocene Terrace Deposits Along the Rio Grande, Sunshine Valley Sub-Basin, Southern San Luis Basin, Costilla County, New Mexico
We provide new 10Be/26Al cosmogenic surface exposure ages for two samples collected from gravel terraces along the Rio Grande. Each sample consisted of approximately 6 milky quartz pebbles ranging in diameter from 3 to 5 cm collected from the surface of a pristine, unmodified middle Pleistocene terrace tread adjacent to fluvially scoured basaltic bedrock. Chemical isolation of aluminum...
