Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Upper Colorado River Basin: Monitoring sites and water chemistry data used to develop a specific conductance - salinity proxy model Upper Colorado River Basin: Monitoring sites and water chemistry data used to develop a specific conductance - salinity proxy model
Salinity levels in streams and tributaries of the Colorado River Basin have been a major concern for years. Recently, the United States Geological Survey’s (USGS) Next Generation Water Observing System (NGWOS) program expanded stream monitoring networks including the number of sites where continuous (15-minute) specific conductance is measured in the Colorado River Headwaters and...
Temperature, soil property, and floodplain infiltration data from a restored reach of Underwood Creek, WI, 2018-2021 Temperature, soil property, and floodplain infiltration data from a restored reach of Underwood Creek, WI, 2018-2021
This release contains data collected to study surface-groundwater interactions during flood events in the floodplain of a restored reach of Underwood Creek in Wauwatosa, WI. Continuous floodplain sediment temperature data was collected at 6 sites from May 2018 to October 2021. Temperature data was used in conjunction with soil thermal property measurements and published groundwater...
Structure-from-Motion derived point clouds and orthomosaic images of reference sections of the Williamsport Sandstone and Bloomsburg Formation in eastern West Virginia and south-central Pennsylvania Structure-from-Motion derived point clouds and orthomosaic images of reference sections of the Williamsport Sandstone and Bloomsburg Formation in eastern West Virginia and south-central Pennsylvania
This dataset consists of Structure-from-Motion derived point clouds and detailed orthomosaic images of four exposures covering the Williamsport Sandstone and the Bloomsburg Formation in eastern West Virginia and south-central Pennsylvania. For each roadcut exposure, two datasets are published: an orthomosaic raster image and a point cloud. The orthomosaic raster image is a vertical...
Structure-from-Motion derived point clouds and orthomosaic images of reference sections of the Silurian units including the Rose Hill Formation, Keefer Sandstone, McKenzie Formation, Bloomsburg Formation, Williamsport Sandstone, Tonoloway Limestone, and t Structure-from-Motion derived point clouds and orthomosaic images of reference sections of the Silurian units including the Rose Hill Formation, Keefer Sandstone, McKenzie Formation, Bloomsburg Formation, Williamsport Sandstone, Tonoloway Limestone, and t
This dataset consists of Structure-from-Motion (SfM) - derived point clouds and highly detailed orthomosaic images of two exposures covering the the Rose Hill Formation, Keefer Sandstone, McKenzie Formation, Williamsport Sandstone, Bloomsburg Formation, Tonoloway Limestone, and the Keyser Limestone. For each railway exposure, two datasets are published: an orthomosaic raster image and a...
Georectified mosaics of historical aerial photographs of the Colorado River in Parker Valley, Arizona and California, acquired in 1930, 1938, and 1947 Georectified mosaics of historical aerial photographs of the Colorado River in Parker Valley, Arizona and California, acquired in 1930, 1938, and 1947
The products provided here include four georectified mosaics of historic aerial photographs for the Parker Valley region within western Arizona and southeastern California. There are three individual mosaics from 1930, 1938, and 1947 covering different geographic areas. The fourth georectified mosaic is a composite of the three and covers the entire area of interest. These datasets were...
Tiered spatial conservation prioritizations for sagebrush ecosystems in northwest Colorado Tiered spatial conservation prioritizations for sagebrush ecosystems in northwest Colorado
This data release includes the results (and some input data) of a spatial conservation prioritization intended to guide management of sagebrush ecosystems in northwest Colorado. Stemming the loss and degradation of sagebrush ecosystems requires science-based tools to balance diverse habitat requirements of species and guide management actions to where they are most likely to successfully...
