Tracking Data for Lesser Scaup (Aythya affinis) Tracking Data for Lesser Scaup (Aythya affinis)

These location data were collected from a free-ranging species of diving duck, the Lesser Scaup (Aythya affinis), using the Argos Satellite Telemetry System with platform transmitter terminals (PTTs) that were surgically implanted in ducks. Ducks were marked at two breeding areas: Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, USA at the northern extent of their distribution (66.51000...

Bathymetry, backscatter intensity, seismic reflection, and benthic habitat data offshore of Eureka, California Bathymetry, backscatter intensity, seismic reflection, and benthic habitat data offshore of Eureka, California

Survey data collected for this data release were used to create maps of surficial geology and benthic habitat as part of the USGS California Seafloor Mapping Program, a collaboration with California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Funding was provided by the California Ocean Protection Council. These data are intended...

Sagebrush Collaborative Restoration Landscapes to Support Management Efforts Improving Fire Resiliency and Restoration in the Sagebrush Biome Sagebrush Collaborative Restoration Landscapes to Support Management Efforts Improving Fire Resiliency and Restoration in the Sagebrush Biome

The sagebrush ecosystem spans over 175 million acres in the western United States, and is biologically, culturally, and economically significant to the country. Many disturbances including prolonged drought, pinyon-juniper encroachment, and cycles of invasive grasses and wildfire, pose significant threats to the resilience of the sagebrush biome. To conserve the sagebrush biome and...

Captures and Trapping Effort for Deer Mice (Peromyscus sonoriensis) at Point Reyes National Seashore, California, USA from 2021 to 2022 Captures and Trapping Effort for Deer Mice (Peromyscus sonoriensis) at Point Reyes National Seashore, California, USA from 2021 to 2022

These data represent trapping effort and captures of deer mice at Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County, California. Deer mice were captured and marked with ear tags to allow identification of individuals. The location of captures can be used in a spatially explicit capture recapture model to estimate density of mice and how mouse density varies by site and habitat type.
