Keswick Reservoir, California, Delft3D-FM Model Archive Keswick Reservoir, California, Delft3D-FM Model Archive

Application of Delft3D-FM model to Keswick Reservoir in California, for short-term (days) simulations. Model archive includes source code (open-source, created by Deltares in the Netherlands), input files, and output files in netCDF format. Source code will need to be compiled for the operating system and hardware being used. Instructions are included with the source code. A separate...

Survival, growth, and chemical data from a study on influences of water hardness on chronic toxicity of potassium chloride to a Unionid mussel (Lampsilis siliquoidea) Survival, growth, and chemical data from a study on influences of water hardness on chronic toxicity of potassium chloride to a Unionid mussel (Lampsilis siliquoidea)

The objective of this study was to evaluate the chronic toxicity of potassium (tested as KCl) to a commonly tested unionid mussel (fatmucket, Lampsilis siliquoidea) at five water hardness levels (25, 50, 100, 200, 300 mg/L as CaCO3) representing most surface waters in the United States. Chronic 28-d potassium chloride toxicity tests were conducted with 3-week-old juvenile fatmucket using...

Occurrence data of the western bumble bee from 1998 to 2020 across the western United States Occurrence data of the western bumble bee from 1998 to 2020 across the western United States

These raw survey data and associated explanatory covariates were used to model western bumble bee occupancy across the western conterminous United States from 1998 to 2020. These data underlie the analyses found in the publication of “Recent and future declines of a historically widespread pollinator linked to climate, land cover, and pesticides” by Janousek et al. 2023 in the...

Native Species Response to 100 HP boat motor acoustic stimulus Native Species Response to 100 HP boat motor acoustic stimulus

This dataset includes the behavioral fish data needed to assess the responses of Upper Mississippi River fishes to an acoustic stimulus (i.e., playback of a 100 hp boat motor). Native ostariophysians (bigmouth buffalo Ictiobus cyprinellus, channel catfish Ictalurus punctatus, and fathead minnow Pimephales promelas), invasive ostariophysians (bighead carp Hypophthalmichthys nobilis...

Bathymetry, Point Clouds, and Water Velocity in the Downstream Approach to Peoria Lock, near Peoria, Illinois, During Testing of an Automated Barge Clearing Deterrent, July–September 2022 Bathymetry, Point Clouds, and Water Velocity in the Downstream Approach to Peoria Lock, near Peoria, Illinois, During Testing of an Automated Barge Clearing Deterrent, July–September 2022

A variety of new technologies are being evaluated to mitigate the spread of invasive carps from the Illinois River to the Great Lakes. In 2022, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and U.S. Geological Survey undertook a field-scale interagency study to determine the efficacy of an Automated Barge Clearing Deterrent (ABCD) in flushing live fish away from...
