Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

GIS Data for Geologic Map of Precambrian Metasedimentary Rocks of The Medicine Bow Mountains, Albany and Carbon Counties, Wyoming GIS Data for Geologic Map of Precambrian Metasedimentary Rocks of The Medicine Bow Mountains, Albany and Carbon Counties, Wyoming
This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release provides a digital geospatial database for the geologic map of Precambrian metasedimentary rocks of the Medicine Bow Mountains, Albany and Carbon Counties, Wyoming (Houston and Karlstrom, 1992). Attribute tables and geospatial features (points, lines and polygons) conform to the Geologic Map Schema (GeMS, 2020) and represent the geologic...
Rainbow trout growth data and growth covariate data from Glen Canyon, Colorado River, Arizona, 2012-2021 Rainbow trout growth data and growth covariate data from Glen Canyon, Colorado River, Arizona, 2012-2021
These data are the primary data used to model rainbow trout growth in Glen Canyon. Fish growth data were collected from nighttime boat electrofishing field campaigns conducted five to six times per year in April, July, September, and January, from April 2012 through November 2021 for a total of 9798 observations of mark-recapture-based growth. Sampling was conducted in a five km reach in...
Data describing vulnerability of Pacific salmon to invasion of northern pike (Esox lucius) in southcentral Alaska, 2017-2019 Data describing vulnerability of Pacific salmon to invasion of northern pike (Esox lucius) in southcentral Alaska, 2017-2019
The shapefile contains the data necessary to recreate the analyses used in Jalbert et al., in review, Vulnerability of Pacific salmon to invasion of northern pike (Esox lucius) in southcentral Alaska. Specifically, users will be able to view 1) intrinsic potential model calculations for 5 Pacific salmonids (Chinook, chum, pink, sockeye, and coho salmon) and northern pike and 2) all...
Sagebrush (Artemisia spp.) scale of effect for Greater Sage-grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus) population trends in southwest Wyoming, USA 2003-2019 Sagebrush (Artemisia spp.) scale of effect for Greater Sage-grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus) population trends in southwest Wyoming, USA 2003-2019
The distance within which populations respond to features in a landscape (scale of effect) can indicate how disturbance and management may affect wildlife. Using annual counts of male Greater Sage-grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus) attending 584 leks in southwest Wyoming (2003-2019) and estimates of sagebrush cover from the Rangeland Condition Monitoring Assessment and Projection (RCMAP)...
Emerging contaminant data at wastewater treatment facilities, municipal water supplies, surface water and lake sites in the northeastern United States, 2009-2018 (ver. 1.1, January 2023) Emerging contaminant data at wastewater treatment facilities, municipal water supplies, surface water and lake sites in the northeastern United States, 2009-2018 (ver. 1.1, January 2023)
Over 300 samples were collected in New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts from wastewater treatment facilities (20 locations), drinking water facilities (9 locations), streams (53 locations), lakes (2 locations), a bay (1 location), and a POCIS (Polar Organic Chemical Integrative Sampler) blank sample between April 2009 and October 2018. This data release provides chemistry data for over...
PFAS, pesticide, and pharmaceutical concentrations in the Bronx River, New York, 2019 (ver. 1.1, January 2023) PFAS, pesticide, and pharmaceutical concentrations in the Bronx River, New York, 2019 (ver. 1.1, January 2023)
This U.S. Geological Survey Data Release provides surface-water and bed sediment quality data at the Bronx River, New York, 2019. The data were collected with support from the Urban Waters Federal Partnership (UWFP) and others. Surface-water samples were collected at six locations along the Bronx River and analyzed for poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), pharmaceuticals, and...
