Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) and Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) Data Collected Within and Near Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, from 2014 to 2019 Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) and Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) Data Collected Within and Near Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, from 2014 to 2019
This data release contains geophysical data from electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and passive seismic surveys within and near Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, collected June 2014?September 2019. The data accompanies a USGS scientific invesgations map from Medler and Anderson (2021; LINK HERE) and a USGS scientific investigations report by Bender and others (2021; LINK HERE)...
In Support of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service 3-Bat Species Status Assessment: Winter Colony Count Analysis In Support of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service 3-Bat Species Status Assessment: Winter Colony Count Analysis
Through the North American Bat Monitoring Program, Bat Conservation International and U.S Geological Survey (USGS) provided technical and science support to assistance in U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Species Status Assessment ("SSA") for the northern long-eared bat (Myotis septentrionalis), little brown bat (Myotis lucifugus), and tri-colored bat (Perimyotis subflavus). USGS...
Vibracore CT scans from the San Lorenzo River Vibracore CT scans from the San Lorenzo River
This data release contains information on computed tomography (CT) images of a vibracore that was collected by the U.S. Geological Survey in 2019. A site next to the San Lorenzo River in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, California, was cored to understand the history of recent vertical incision and floodplain abandonment. The core was split into 3 segments after collection. Each segment...
Mineralogy, rare earth elements, and strontium isotopic composition of phosphorites and phosphatized rocks from the Rio Grande Rise, south Atlantic Ocean Mineralogy, rare earth elements, and strontium isotopic composition of phosphorites and phosphatized rocks from the Rio Grande Rise, south Atlantic Ocean
Phosphorites and phosphatized rocks from the summit of the Rio Grande Rise were collected via dredge during the oceanographic research cruise RGR1 to the western RGR. The location (latitude, longitude, depth), mineralogy, concentrations of phosphorus and rare earth elements, and 87Sr/86Sr ratios of phosphorites and phosphatized FeMn crusts, ironstones and carbonates from 10 dredge sites...
Capture-mark-recapture data for Oregon spotted frogs (Rana pretiosa) along the Deschutes River, Oregon, 2016-2019 Capture-mark-recapture data for Oregon spotted frogs (Rana pretiosa) along the Deschutes River, Oregon, 2016-2019
This dataset contains information from capture-mark-recapture sampling of Oregon spotted frogs (Rana pretiosa) conducted 2016-2019 by USGS as part of a study relating R. pretiosa survival and abundance to wetland inundation in the upper Deschutes River. Data consist of site, survey, habitat, and species detection covariates, as well as 10 years of hydrological and drought metrics used to...
Geospatial data for select U.S. Geological Survey streamflow-gaging stations in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas useful for statistical study of annual peak streamflows in and near Texas Geospatial data for select U.S. Geological Survey streamflow-gaging stations in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas useful for statistical study of annual peak streamflows in and near Texas
This dataset provides watershed delineations for 1,703 U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) streamgaging stations (gages) for geospatial statistical study of peak streamflows in and near Texas. These streamgaging stations are in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico (east of the Great Continental Divide) with some of the watersheds associated with the 1,703 streamgaging stations extending into...
