Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Estimated crop irrigation water use withdrawals in Gila Bend Groundwater Basin, Arizona for 2024 Estimated crop irrigation water use withdrawals in Gila Bend Groundwater Basin, Arizona for 2024
Observations of irrigated agricultural land within the Gila Bend Groundwater Basin in Arizona. Crops were verified in situ twice in 2024, first on May 8th and again on Aug 27th; based on digitized field boundaries. Field boundaries were digitized from U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Agriculture Imagery Program County Mosaic 2023 imagery for Arizona and supplemented with the...
MODFLOW-2005 Groundwater Flow Model Used to Simulate Wastewater-Return-Flow Scenarios in Falmouth, Massachusetts MODFLOW-2005 Groundwater Flow Model Used to Simulate Wastewater-Return-Flow Scenarios in Falmouth, Massachusetts
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Town of Falmouth, used an existing groundwater flow model to simulate responses of the freshwater hydrologic system in Falmouth, Massachusetts to proposed wastewater-return-flow scenarios. The existing model is a steady-state, three-dimensional MODFLOW-2005 model of the Sagamore flow lens of the Cape Cod aquifer documented by...
Landsat-based Illustrative implementation of Satellite Psychrometry for ET Mapping Landsat-based Illustrative implementation of Satellite Psychrometry for ET Mapping
Remote sensing-based evapotranspiration (ET) can be derived using various methods, from soil moisture accounting to vegetation-index based approaches to simple and complex surface energy balance techniques. Due to the complexity of fully representing and parameterizing ET sub-processes, different models tend to diverge in their estimations. However, most models appear to provide...
Geospatial Data for the Surficial Geologic Map of the Central Brooks Range, Alaska Geospatial Data for the Surficial Geologic Map of the Central Brooks Range, Alaska
Geologic map geodatabase depicting the surficial geology of the central Brooks Range, Alaska. Including the 250k quadrangles of Ambler River, Bettles, Chandalar, Chandler Lake, Hughes, Howard Pass, Killik River, Phillip Smith Mountains, Survey Pass, and Wiseman. Database tables include geologic linework and geologic units.
Estimated Current and Future Community Suitability of Pinyon and Juniper Woodlands for 3 Emissions Scenario Pathways (SSP2-4.5, SSP3-7.0, SSP5-8.5) and Bivariate Comparisons Across Western North America Estimated Current and Future Community Suitability of Pinyon and Juniper Woodlands for 3 Emissions Scenario Pathways (SSP2-4.5, SSP3-7.0, SSP5-8.5) and Bivariate Comparisons Across Western North America
These data consist of gridded projected pinyon-juniper community-level suitability values across western North America. The objectives of our study were to estimate community-level suitability for pinyon-juniper woodlands under current and future climate conditions and compare geographic patterns in suitability against additional management considerations, such as burn probability and...
Water-surface profiles near selected bridge sites in Montana Water-surface profiles near selected bridge sites in Montana
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT), collected water-surface profile data at selected highway bridges in Montana. The water-surface profile data characterizes the water-surface elevation and slope upstream and downstream of a bridge. Water-surface profile data were typically obtained for one side of the stream by surveying...
