Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Local Demographic Rates of Four Eleutherodactylus Frogs in Puerto Rico, 2017-2019 (ver. 1.1, January 2025) Local Demographic Rates of Four Eleutherodactylus Frogs in Puerto Rico, 2017-2019 (ver. 1.1, January 2025)
We estimated the effect of microhabitat and microclimatic factors on occupancy, abundance and reproduction of four species of Eleutherodactylus frogs (E. wightmanae, E. brittoni, E. antillensis, E. coqui). Data consist of presence-non/presence data (binary), and physical (abiotic) and habitat (biotic) covariates collected at each of 48 survey stations (2017) and 35 (2018) along two...
Giving-up density experiments for two species of mammals in Florida, 2022 Giving-up density experiments for two species of mammals in Florida, 2022
Invasive predators pose a substantial threat to global biodiversity. Native prey species frequently exhibit naïveté to the cues of invasive predators, and this phenomenon may contribute to the disproportionate impact of invasive predators on prey populations. However, not all species exhibit naïveté, which has led to the generation of many hypotheses to explain patterns in prey responses...
Whole rock and portable XRF geochemistry data from Mesoproterozoic granitic rocks in the eastern Adirondack Mountains, New York Whole rock and portable XRF geochemistry data from Mesoproterozoic granitic rocks in the eastern Adirondack Mountains, New York
This data release includes whole rock (WR) and portable X-ray fluorescence (pXRF) geochemical data collected from the eastern Adirondack Mountains, NY. Whole rock geochemistry data were analyzed at Bureau Veritas Commodities Canada Ltd. Laboratories in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Data were collected using a Thermo Niton portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometer. Rock...
Contemporary estimates for total seep refugial capacity and contributing metrics, including likelihood of seep occurrence, seep air and water temperature variability, and probability of seep permanence Contemporary estimates for total seep refugial capacity and contributing metrics, including likelihood of seep occurrence, seep air and water temperature variability, and probability of seep permanence
We modeled the distribution and thermal and hydrologic stability of cliff-face seeps across moist portions of the Pacific Northwest, USA. We conducted surveys for cliff-face seeps across ~1,600km of roads, trails, and watercourses in Washington and Idaho and monitored water availability and air and water temperatures at a subset of these seeps. We detected 457 total seeps through an...
Vermont Flood of July 2023 Data Vermont Flood of July 2023 Data
A major rain event caused catastrophic flooding from July 9 through 12, 2023, in various portions of the State of Vermont, resulting in millions of dollars of damage. The high amount of rainfall caused several rivers to peak at record levels, in some cases exceeding records set by Tropical Storm Irene in 2011. President Biden approved an Emergency Declaration for Vermont on July 11, 2023...
Long-term trends in annual, seasonal, and monthly streamflow metrics at streamgages in the Upper Colorado River Basin, 1981-2022 Long-term trends in annual, seasonal, and monthly streamflow metrics at streamgages in the Upper Colorado River Basin, 1981-2022
Identifying long-term trends in water availability, including surface water quantity, is a key part of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Integrated Water Availability Assessments (IWAAs) mission. This data release includes input and output data used in Mann-Kendall trend analyses to characterize streamflow conditions at 124 USGS streamgages in the Upper Colorado River Basin for water...
