Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Compilation and recalculation of Cretaceous-Miocene intrusive igneous crystallization geochronology from the northern Rocky Mountains, Montana and Idaho, USA Compilation and recalculation of Cretaceous-Miocene intrusive igneous crystallization geochronology from the northern Rocky Mountains, Montana and Idaho, USA
This dataset presents a recalculated compilation of geochronology ages of Cretaceous-Miocene intrusive rocks and volcanic plugs in the northern Rocky Mountains USA, with a focus on Montana and Idaho. Mineral assessments and prospectivity mapping requires detailed spatiotemporal understanding of magma systems in the upper crust to predict when and where ore deposits may have formed...
Metapopulation model inputs for riverine fish with applications including native and invasive fish passage scenarios and silver carp control scenarios within the Mississippi River Basin Metapopulation model inputs for riverine fish with applications including native and invasive fish passage scenarios and silver carp control scenarios within the Mississippi River Basin
This data release contains data inputs for the Metapopulation Integral Projection Model (MetaIPM). These inputs include demographic rate data (such as fish growth) and movement rate data (such as fish movement across river pools). The data are designed to be downloaded by a Shiny Application (point-and-click version of the model). Each species and scenario requires its own data inputs...
Digital input data and model output for a three-dimensional hydrogeologic framework for the Great Basin carbonate and alluvial aquifer system of Nevada, Utah, and parts of adjacent states Digital input data and model output for a three-dimensional hydrogeologic framework for the Great Basin carbonate and alluvial aquifer system of Nevada, Utah, and parts of adjacent states
This digital dataset was created as part of a U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) regional groundwater assessment of the eastern Great Basin; the project was called the Great Basin Carbonate-Alluvial Aquifer Study (GBCAAS). The study area has a geographic extent of 110,000 square miles, predominantly in eastern Nevada and western Utah. As part of this larger study, the USGS developed digital...
Sensor-based water-quality and stable isotopes of water data collected along the Upper Colorado River, 2020-24 Sensor-based water-quality and stable isotopes of water data collected along the Upper Colorado River, 2020-24
This data release contains sensor-based water-quality and discrete stable isotopes of water data collected along the Upper Colorado River. Data collection was made by the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado (CO), and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Lakewood, CO. The water-quality data were collected from an inflatable raft during 5 high flow and 3 low flow sampling campaigns...
Hydrological Simulation Program—FORTRAN (HSPF) user-control, input, and output files for simulation of hydrologic conditions in selected watersheds in Cameron County, Texas, 2022–23 Hydrological Simulation Program—FORTRAN (HSPF) user-control, input, and output files for simulation of hydrologic conditions in selected watersheds in Cameron County, Texas, 2022–23
The U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the City of Brownsville, Texas, configured and calibrated a set of hydrologic models for a 217-square-mile study area in Cameron County in South Texas. The Hydrological Simulation Program—FORTRAN (HSPF) modeling system was used to simulate the hydrological conditions for the study area because it is one of the most comprehensive watershed...
Monthly OpenET Image Collections (v2.0) Summarized by 12-Digit Hydrologic Unit Codes, 2000-2024 (ver. 2.0, January 2026) Monthly OpenET Image Collections (v2.0) Summarized by 12-Digit Hydrologic Unit Codes, 2000-2024 (ver. 2.0, January 2026)
This dataset provides monthly summaries of evapotranspiration (ET) data from OpenET v2.0 image collections for the period 2000-2024 for all National Watershed Boundary Dataset subwatersheds (12-digit hydrologic unit codes [HUC12s]) in the US that overlap the spatial extent of OpenET datasets. For each HUC12, the dataset contains spatial aggregation statistics (minimum, mean, median, and...
