Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Campaign GNSS Measurements Collected at Mount Hood by the Cascades Volcano Observatory Campaign GNSS Measurements Collected at Mount Hood by the Cascades Volcano Observatory
This data release contains data collected during campaign Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS; formerly only the Global Positioning System or GPS) surveys conducted at Mount Hood. A survey in any given year may contain data from a subset of established sites depending on access, personnel, and the condition of the GNSS monument. For each site, we include raw data in binary or...
Future forest habitat conditions in the Adirondack Region: Developing Inputs for the LANDIS-II model Future forest habitat conditions in the Adirondack Region: Developing Inputs for the LANDIS-II model
This data release includes raster and text input files to initialize and run the forest disturbance and succession landscape simulation model, LANDIS-II with the Biomass Succession extension for the study area in the Adirondacks (ADK) National Park, New York, USA. The goal of this project was to develop inputs to forecast future spruce-fir forest extent using the landscape model LANDIS...
Literature rates of measured methane fluxes from tidal wetland soils to the atmosphere Literature rates of measured methane fluxes from tidal wetland soils to the atmosphere
This data release reports a compilation of the literature that included measurements of both methane gas emission fluxes from the soil to atmosphere, and salinity, in different types of tidal wetlands around the globe. Rates were included for in situ measurements of methane flux in natural tidal wetlands but not experimental treatments or restored wetlands.
USGS National and Global Oil and Gas Assessment Project—Gulf Coast Mesozoic Province, Haynesville Formation Water and Proppant Assessment: Assessment Input Tables and Fact Sheet Data Tables USGS National and Global Oil and Gas Assessment Project—Gulf Coast Mesozoic Province, Haynesville Formation Water and Proppant Assessment: Assessment Input Tables and Fact Sheet Data Tables
The input and results tables provide a record of the complete input and output values required for the quantitative assessment of water and proppant associated with oil and gas production for the continuous oil and gas resource in a geologically defined Assessment Unit. The same input form template is used for all such assessments. Each USGS water and proppant assessment builds from a...
Sierra Nevada Ecoregion LiDAR and Fuels Data, Collected in 2025 Sierra Nevada Ecoregion LiDAR and Fuels Data, Collected in 2025
Vegetation structure and fuels data are essential for understanding fire behavior following management treatments such as mechanical thinning and prescribed burning. To evaluate these processes, 133 plots were established between July 17 and September 21, 2025 across national forests and parks in the Sierra Nevada. These plots consisted of treated and untreated areas for comparison...
Southern Beaufort Sea Female Polar Bear Blood-Based Analyte Data, 1982-1985 Southern Beaufort Sea Female Polar Bear Blood-Based Analyte Data, 1982-1985
This dataset is one table with data collected and derived from female polar bears sampled in Alaska's southern Beaufort Sea during 1982-1985. Collected data includes demographic information. Derived data includes blood-based analyte values determined from serum samples. Serum samples were analyzed in 1986 by Evergreen Professional Services (Bothell, WA, USA). It is believed that a...
