Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Geospatial dataset of depressions, sinking streams, and associated watersheds in karst areas of Tennessee and parts of surrounding states Geospatial dataset of depressions, sinking streams, and associated watersheds in karst areas of Tennessee and parts of surrounding states
“Karst” landscapes are characterized by distinctive hydrology and surface features, such as closed depressions, sinkholes, and sinking streams, that result from high rock solubility and well-developed fracture porosity (Ford and Williams, 2007; Weary and Doctor, 2014). Soluble carbonate rocks underlie most of Middle Tennessee, large areas of East Tennessee, and parts of surrounding...
Data exploring the impact of road watering on dust accumulation and monarch distribution on Poplar Island Data exploring the impact of road watering on dust accumulation and monarch distribution on Poplar Island
This data release supports a paired USGS publication that explores how road watering on an active construction site impacts dust accumulation and monarch distribution.
Inventory of water bottling facilities in the United States, 2024, and select water-use data, 1955-2023 (ver. 2.0, November 2024) Inventory of water bottling facilities in the United States, 2024, and select water-use data, 1955-2023 (ver. 2.0, November 2024)
An inventory of facilities that bottle water or other beverages containing water (including soft drinks, beer, wine, or spirits) or that manufacture ice was compiled by combining available datasets from multiple sources. This water bottling inventory dataset includes facilities within all 50 states of the United States (U.S.), one federal district (Washington, District of Columbia), and...
Georectified mosaic of historical aerial photographs of the Colorado River in Mohave Valley, Arizona, California, and Nevada, acquired in 1938 Georectified mosaic of historical aerial photographs of the Colorado River in Mohave Valley, Arizona, California, and Nevada, acquired in 1938
This product is a georectified and tonally balanced mosaic of aerial photographs collected in 1938 by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation along the floodplain of the Colorado River in Mohave Valley region of Arizona, California and Nevada. This dataset is a primary resource for the development of a geologic map showing the floodplain and river channel characteristics along the Colorado River...
mmlMRVAgen1, Source Code for Construction of Multiple Machine-Learning Models of Water Levels in the Mississippi River Valley Alluvial Aquifer mmlMRVAgen1, Source Code for Construction of Multiple Machine-Learning Models of Water Levels in the Mississippi River Valley Alluvial Aquifer
The mmlMRVAgen1 repository contains R, LaTeX, Mermaid, and Perl language source code that can be used for construction multiple methods of machine learning (MML) of water levels in the Mississippi River Valley alluvial aquifer (MRVA) within the Mississippi Alluvial Plain (MAP), south-central United States. The source code is written in R (primary and extensive), LaTeX (for structured...
Aeromagnetic and aeroradiometric data acquired over parts of Grant, Hidalgo, Luna, Sierra, and Socorro Counties, New Mexico Aeromagnetic and aeroradiometric data acquired over parts of Grant, Hidalgo, Luna, Sierra, and Socorro Counties, New Mexico
NV5 Geospatial, in collaboration with EDCON-PRJ, Inc. acquired high-precision airborne magnetic and radiometric data over southwestern New Mexico. Survey flight-lines were flown in an east-west direction and are spaced at 200 meters. North-south tie lines are spaced at 2000 meters. The survey contained 142,673 line-kms (88,650 miles) of data and covered an area of over 25,900 sq. km (10...
Summary of Selected Basin and Streamflow Special Conditions for USGS Streamgages in Alaska Summary of Selected Basin and Streamflow Special Conditions for USGS Streamgages in Alaska
This dataset summarizes selected basin and streamflow special conditions for USGS streamgages in Alaska that are commonly used for site and period of record selection for regional analyses, through water year 2022. The data consist of a table providing information about the type of streamflow available for the site, site special conditions related to the timing of data collection, basin...
Model Archive Summary for Turbidity Derived Suspended-Sediment Concentrations at USGS Station 11455335; Sacramento River Deep Water Ship Channel near Rio Vista, California (2015 - 2021) Model Archive Summary for Turbidity Derived Suspended-Sediment Concentrations at USGS Station 11455335; Sacramento River Deep Water Ship Channel near Rio Vista, California (2015 - 2021)
Continuous 15-minute time-series suspended-sediment concentration (SSC) data computed from USGS instream turbidity data using a YSI EXO multi-parameter water quality sonde for the Sacramento River Deep Water Ship Channel near Rio Vista, California station (DWS; USGS #11455335). A Model Archive Summary (MAS) describes the development of a continuous 15-minute SSC time-series regression...
Data and Model Archive for Simulations of Seawater Restoration on Diked Salt Marshes Data and Model Archive for Simulations of Seawater Restoration on Diked Salt Marshes
This dataset and model archive provides geochemical modeling input and selected output data used in simulations of seawater restoration on historically diked salt marshes. Biogeochemical changes resulting from seawater reintroduction were simulated using the computer program PHREEQC (Parkhurst and Appelo, 2013) to help support efforts to restore tidal flow and associated estuarine...
Salinas Valley Hydrologic System: Land Use Data Salinas Valley Hydrologic System: Land Use Data
This digital dataset contains the land use data used for both the Salinas Valley Hydrologic Models (SVHM): the Salinas Valley Watershed Model (SVWM), the Salinas Valley Integrated Hydrologic Model (SVIHM), and Salinas Valley Operational Model (SVOM)). Land use data were compiled from available state, local, and federal datasets. Available multi-year composite land use data were...
Salinas Valley Watershed Model: Application of Hydrologic Simulation Program-FORTRAN (HSPF) Salinas Valley Watershed Model: Application of Hydrologic Simulation Program-FORTRAN (HSPF)
This model archive contains the datasets, procedures, and necessary program code used to describe the Salinas Valley Watershed Model (SVWM). The SVWM simulates the daily historical water balance and hydrologic conditions for the Salinas Valley study area including the many un-gaged tributary subdrainages in the rugged and mountainous upland areas surrounding flat-lying valley lowlands...
