The Hazards Data Distribution System ( HDDSExplorer) is an event-based interface that provides a single point-of-entry for access to remotely sensed imagery and other geospatial datasets as they become available during a response.

The National Vegetation Classification (NVC) is your guide to inventorying plant communities. The standard allows users to produce uniform statistics about vegetation resources across the nation. CSAS&L actively participates in the development of this important standard through our involvement with the FGDC Vegetation Subcommittee and the ESA Vegetation Panel.

We conduct post-fire debris-flow hazard assessments for select fires in the Western U.S. We use geospatial data related to basin morphometry, burn severity, soil properties, and rainfall characteristics to estimate the probability and volume of debris flows that may occur in response to a design storm.

Maps, reports, and digital data available as shape files, images, or grids in GIS format, that depict the bathymetry, surficial geology, or subsurface structure of submerged areas at various scales. The information addresses scientific and management issues that are important to the environment and economy of coastal communities and the Nation.
