The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is tasked with protecting Threatened, Endangered, or At-Risk species throughout the U.S. which has over 1,600 plants and animal listed and another 500 that need protections. However, a challenge with managing these species is there is often limited information about their distribution and the biology, or the current and future threats are unknown.
