Mapping Fluvial Ecosystems
IIn 2014, a Delaware River Basin focal region was hydrologically-enforced for drainage structures (culverts/bridges) that impeded down slope surface flow across the digital elevation model (DEM). The addition of the submerged bathymetric elevation data from the EAARL acquisition will enhance the hydrologically-enforced DEM, allowing scientists to study surface flow in the river channel.
