M. Katherine Holt

Kate Holt is a Hydrologic Technician at the USGS, Central Midwest Water Science Center located in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Kate received a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science with a focus on Hydrology from the University of Iowa. Kate started off at the USGS in 2002 as a student in the Iowa Sediment Lab. In 2006 she transferred to the Fort Dodge field office where she ran a field trip, collected water quality samples for the NAWQA program and maintained a network of nitrate probes. In 2013 she transferred to the Council Bluffs field office and continued her work with nitrate probes, water quality sampling and discharge measurements.
