Simonette L Rivera
Intro
Simonette L Rivera is a hydrologic technician with the New York Water Science Center, responsible for groundwater opperations. She is the team leader of the groundwater unit in Coram NY, responsible for organizing and updating the network maintence and data collection lists, location maps, field books, and data sheets for more than 600 continous-recording wells,and both monthly and annual synotic groundwater stations. Simonette organizes and leads the annual well-drilling program, working with the USGS and SCDHS drillers to install new and/or replace groundwater-monitoring wells throught Long Island and the five boroughs of New York City. She also manages the office's optical survey-leveling and well-maintence programs, and continues to train new students and other office personal in proper surveying and maintenance techniques, as well as being the safety officer for the Coram office.
