Scientists from the USGS Alaska Science Center regularly work in remote field camps, often for days or weeks at a time. Though not the primary research focus of these camps, many researchers maintain daily checklists of all bird species encountered during field work. These checklists can provide documentation of the presence, distribution, timing of arrival and departure, and breeding chronology of species at each field camp.

The Alaska Science Center has numerous historic checklists in their original paper format that are available upon request in PDF format. Available here are the digitized versions. Data sets listed below are arranged by region and follow a standardized data and metadata format based on the eBird database hosted by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Contemporary checklists are submitted directly to eBird under the USGS Alaska Science Center account (see below).
