Spatial analysts at the MD-DE-DC WSC use Geographic Information Systems to interpret data collected through field reconnaissance and downloaded from internal USGS, other federal, state, and local agencies, academic institutions, industry, and other professional contracting organizations.
StreamStats
StreamStats provides access to spatial analytical tools that are useful for water-resources planning and management, and for engineering and design purposes. The map-based user interface can be used to delineate drainage areas, get basin characteristics and estimates of flow statistics, and more.
TopoView
The US Topo series refers specifically to USGS topographic maps published as digital documents in 2009 and later. The latest version of topoView includes both current and historical maps and is full of enhancements based on hundreds of comments and suggestions.
