April 30, 2014 - Landsat 8 in Safehold

On April 29, 2014 at 05:44:13 GMT, Landsat 8 entered a ‘safehold’ condition that has suspended the collection of science data.

The Landsat 8 observatory is healthy, and no issues are being encountered during the recovery process. Normal science acquisitions are expected to resume by 23:00 GMT on April 30, 2014. More details will be posted if there are changes back to nominal operations.
