Several enhancements have been made to the Level-1 metadata delivered with the Landsat Collection 2 product, including what metadata fields are visible on EarthExplorer and in the bulk metadata files. 

Level-1 Product Metadata

Level-1 Visible EarthExplorer and Bulk Metadata 

There are Level-1 metadata field name changes from Collection 1 to Collection 2 that are visible from EarthExplorer and associated applications. These include:

  1. The 'Show Metadata and Browse' button on EarthExplorer Results tab
  2. Metadata exports from EarthExplorer Results tab
  3. Bulk Metadata files downloadable from the Landsat Missions Web Site

The Landsat Collection 2 Visible Metadata Changes file describes the metadata field names that have been changed.
