Event Recording: Explore USGS Careers in Florida and the Caribbean – Science Support Panel

Three USGS Centers held this virtual event on February 23, 2023 to showcase various science career paths within USGS: the Caribbean-Florida Water Science Center, St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center, and Wetland and Aquatic Research Center. Attendees learned about the goals, philosophy, and the research conducted at each location; viewed a workshop on USAJOBS—the federal hiring website; and were invited to join three topic-specific panel discussions with USGS staff.

In the Science Support panel, USGS staff specializing in information technology, science communications, data management, and administration discuss these critical disciplines and how they contribute to the success of USGS science, as well as how they pursued and achieved their careers at the USGS.
