This week a significant number of the Oregon Water Science Center staff will travel to Camp Rilea to learn or refresh their hydrological skills.
Technology will always continue to evolve, therefore our scientists need to need continue their education and become skilled in the newest and best equipment. Although there are numerous training options available, this year a large number of our staff will be heading out to Camp Rilea, OR, to participate in a weeklong workshop entitled, "Training for Advancement in Hydrologic Data Processing and Technical Field Skills." This is a great opportunity for new employees to learn the appropriate techniques and legacy values of the USGS, while more seasoned technicians can update their skills to meet today’s newest tools and resources.
