Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Enhanced Terrain Imagery of the Newark 30 x 60 Minute Quadrangle from Lidar-Derived Elevation Models at 3-Meter Resolution Enhanced Terrain Imagery of the Newark 30 x 60 Minute Quadrangle from Lidar-Derived Elevation Models at 3-Meter Resolution
This imagery dataset consists of 3-meter resolution, lidar-derived imagery of the Newark 30 x 60 minute quadrangle. It covers portions of New Jersey and New York, including parts of the Delaware River Basin. The source data used to construct this imagery consist of 1-meter, 2-meter, and 3-meter resolution lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEM). The lidar source data were compiled...
Quality assessed and modified Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) facility and outfall locations, 2007 - 2019 Quality assessed and modified Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) facility and outfall locations, 2007 - 2019
Each year the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports permit, location, and discharge information for facilities across the United States and its territories through the Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR). Because these data are cataloged through a variety of systems, including self-reporting, there are discrepancies that may lead to incorrect spatial interpretation of content...
Stream cross-section, benthic macroinvertebrate and fish taxa counts and abundance, and water chemistry data for the Clarksburg study area in Montgomery County, Maryland, 1992 - 2020 Stream cross-section, benthic macroinvertebrate and fish taxa counts and abundance, and water chemistry data for the Clarksburg study area in Montgomery County, Maryland, 1992 - 2020
Montgomery County, Maryland Department of Environmental Protection has collected datasets to assess the health of streams since the early 1990s. Datasets include geomorphic stream cross-sectional surveys, fish and benthic macroinvertebrate counts and taxa abundance, and water chemistry data collected at the time of benthic and fish sampling (dissolved oxygen, pH, specific conductance...
Optical signals of water for prediction of wastewater contamination, human-associated bacteria, and fecal indicator bacteria in surface water of Great Lake tributaries from 2011 to 2016 Optical signals of water for prediction of wastewater contamination, human-associated bacteria, and fecal indicator bacteria in surface water of Great Lake tributaries from 2011 to 2016
Data are from water samples collected from tributaries of the Great Lakes at three different drainage basin scales, including 1). watershed scale: 8 tributaries of the Great Lakes, 2). subwatershed scale: 5 locations from the greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, and 3). small scale: 213 storm sewers and open channel locations in three subwatersheds within the Great Lakes Basin including...
Alpine vegetation trends in Glacier National Park, Montana 2003-2018 Alpine vegetation trends in Glacier National Park, Montana 2003-2018
This dataset is focused on alpine plant species presence/absence, species turnover, and trends in species abundance on four mountain summits in Glacier National Park, Montana, USA from 2003 through 2014. Two summit sites were established in 2003 on Dancing Lady and Bison Mountain, east of the continental divide. Two additional summit sites were established in 2004 on Pitamakin and Mt...
Repeat microgravity data from South Houghton Area Recharge Project, Tucson, Arizona, 2020-2022 (ver. 2.0, August 2024) Repeat microgravity data from South Houghton Area Recharge Project, Tucson, Arizona, 2020-2022 (ver. 2.0, August 2024)
Relative-gravity surveys were carried out using a ZLS Burris relative-gravity meter. The effect of solid Earth tides and ocean loading were removed from the data. Instrument drift was removed by evaluating gravity change during repeated measurements at one or more base stations. Absolute-gravity surveys were carried out using a Micro-g LaCoste, Inc. A-10 absolute-gravity meter. Vertical...
