Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Radiocarbon, field measurements, and ground-based magnetic transect data supporting the study of north-facing scarps along the Seattle fault zone in Washington Radiocarbon, field measurements, and ground-based magnetic transect data supporting the study of north-facing scarps along the Seattle fault zone in Washington
This data release includes multiple datasets obtained during the study of north-facing fault scarps along the Seattle fault zone. It includes geochronological data and field measurements from the Vasa Park trench (47.576618°, -122.119524°) near Bellevue, WA, and the Rose Hip trench (47.597°, -122.535°), Lyle Beach terrace site (47.597,-122.542), and Mill Pond site (47.597,-122.525) on...
Time-series measurements of acoustic intensity, flow, pressure, water level, conductivity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen collected in a flooded cave at Cenote Bang, Yucatan Peninsula, Tulum, Mexico from March 25, 2018 to August 1, 2018 Time-series measurements of acoustic intensity, flow, pressure, water level, conductivity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen collected in a flooded cave at Cenote Bang, Yucatan Peninsula, Tulum, Mexico from March 25, 2018 to August 1, 2018
Natural flooded caves were accessed along the coastline of the Yucatan Peninsula (Quintana Roo, Mexico) to investigate how regional meteorologic and hydrologic processes control solute transport, mixing, and salinization in the coastal aquifer. Instruments were deployed to monitor environmental parameters within the Ox Bel Ha Cave System accessed through the sinkhole Cenote Bang. These...
Chronic Wasting Disease distribution in the United States by state and county (ver. 3.0, June 2025) Chronic Wasting Disease distribution in the United States by state and county (ver. 3.0, June 2025)
Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is a fatal, contagious, neuro-degenerative disease affecting multiple members of the Family Cervidae. First detected in 1967, the disease has, as of March 2021, been documented in free-ranging and/or captive cervid populations in 26 states, three Canadian provinces, the Republic of South Korea, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The data provided here contains...
Cosmogenic Be-10 Exposure Data for a Boulder Field in Zepp, VA Cosmogenic Be-10 Exposure Data for a Boulder Field in Zepp, VA
We have dated a boulder field in Zepp, VA using cosmogenic Be-10 exposure dating. Three samples taken from boulders at three elevations in the boulder field (804 m asl, 818 m asl, and 831 m asl) were processed at the Reston Cosmogenic Nuclide (RECON) Lab and measured via accelerator mass spectrometry at the Purdue Rare Isotope Measurement (PRIME) Lab. The results of this work are...
Cosmogenic Al-26/Be-10 Isochron Burial Data for the Nussbaum Gravel at Baculite Mesa, CO Cosmogenic Al-26/Be-10 Isochron Burial Data for the Nussbaum Gravel at Baculite Mesa, CO
We have constrained the age of the Nussbaum Gravel at Baculite Mesa, CO using cosmogenic Al-26/Be-10 isochron burial dating. Two samples, a coarse sand and a fine gravel, were prepared for burial dating at the Reston Cosmogenic Nuclide (RECON) Lab and measured via accelerator mass spectrometry at the Purdue Rare Isotope Measurement (PRIME) Lab. The results of this work are summarized in...
Nutrient and trace element results for the U.S. Geological Survey vernal ponds study, Pleasant Grove, New Jersey, 2022-23 Nutrient and trace element results for the U.S. Geological Survey vernal ponds study, Pleasant Grove, New Jersey, 2022-23
This data release contains the concentration results for basic water-quality constituent class parameters (water temperature, pH, turbidity, and specific conductance), total nitrogen, total phosphorous, chloride, and trace elements in surface-water samples collected from two subsites within two vernal pools near Pleasant Grove, New Jersey in 2022-23. In the winter (December 2022 and...
