Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Tsunami deposit data and sediment transport models from the Salmon River estuary, central Oregon Tsunami deposit data and sediment transport models from the Salmon River estuary, central Oregon
This data release contains sedimentological data and numerical models representing the circa 1700 CE tsunami in the Salmon River estuary, Oregon. The thickness of sandy tsunami deposits was identified in hundreds of cores that map the extent of the deposit throughout the estuary. Grainsize data demonstrate the inland fining of the sandy tsunami deposits. The distribution of tsunami...
Geospatial mapping products derived from 2018, 2020, and 2022 NAIP aerial imagery for the Scotts Creek Watershed, Lake County, CA Geospatial mapping products derived from 2018, 2020, and 2022 NAIP aerial imagery for the Scotts Creek Watershed, Lake County, CA
The USGS, in cooperation with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), created a series of geospatial mapping products of the Scotts Creek Watershed in Lake County, California, using National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) imagery from 2018, 2020 and 2022 and Open Street Map (OSM) from 2019. The imagery was downloaded from United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) - Natural...
Effects of water chemistry on carbon dioxide toxicity to zebra mussels (Dreissena polymorpha) Effects of water chemistry on carbon dioxide toxicity to zebra mussels (Dreissena polymorpha)
Data were collected during experiments to determine the effects of water chemistry on carbon dioxide toxicity to zebra mussels (Dreissena polymorpha). Water chemistry parameters were collected for the water used in the study. Data were collected to model the relationship of carbon dioxide and pH in various water chemistries. Measurements were made to describe the animals used in the...
The U.S. Inland Creel and Angler Survey Catalog (CreelCat): A Database and Interactive Tool for Inland Fisheries Management and Research The U.S. Inland Creel and Angler Survey Catalog (CreelCat): A Database and Interactive Tool for Inland Fisheries Management and Research
The U.S. Inland Creel and Angler Survey Catalog (CreelCat) contains data compiled from 14,729 creel and angler surveys conducted by state natural resource management agencies (including Washington DC and Puerto Rico) in inland waters across the United States. Data are contained in eight .csv files which contain information about survey characteristics (Survey_Data.csv), angler effort...
Geospatial Dataset for the Geologic Framework and Hydrostratigraphy of the Edwards and Trinity Aquifers Within Parts of Bandera and Kendall Counties, Texas, at 1:24,000 Geospatial Dataset for the Geologic Framework and Hydrostratigraphy of the Edwards and Trinity Aquifers Within Parts of Bandera and Kendall Counties, Texas, at 1:24,000
The karstic Edwards and Trinity aquifers are classified as major sources of water in south-central Texas by the Texas Water Development Board, and both are classified as major aquifers by the State of Texas. The purpose of this data release is to present the data that were collected and compiled to describe the geologic framework and hydrostratigraphy within parts of Bandera and Kendall...
Lake Erie Pelagic Prey Fish Community Data, 2022-2023 Lake Erie Pelagic Prey Fish Community Data, 2022-2023
Since 2005, the U.S. Geological Survey - Great Lakes Science Center's Lake Erie Biological Station (LEBS) has participated in a collaborative, multiagency effort to assess pelagic prey fish populations in the western (WB), central (CB), and eastern (EB) basins of Lake Erie through a combination of hydroacoustic and midwater trawl sampling. Assessing lake-wide distribution and abundance...
