Data Releases

The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Channel bed hydraulic conductivity, stage, and evapotranspiration data at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, New Mexico, 2022-2024 Channel bed hydraulic conductivity, stage, and evapotranspiration data at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, New Mexico, 2022-2024

Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge (the Refuge), located in central New Mexico was established in 1939 with the mission to provide habitats for federally listed species and other migrating waterfowl. The U.S. Geological Survey and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service jointly developed a study to evaluate uncertainty in the major water budget components. Before this study, it was...

Geochemical data supporting studies of the Orocopia Schist and related units Geochemical data supporting studies of the Orocopia Schist and related units

The report titled "Field Trip to a Laramide Low-Angle Subduction Channel: Orocopia Schist in the Gavilan Hills, Southeasternmost California with Incidental Localities for Three Blue Minerals", which is associated with this Data Release, describes a one-day field trip to examine a latest Cretaceous subduction channel exposed in a readily accessible area of southeasternmost California, 40...

Random Forest Regression Model Archive for Estimating Low-Streamflow Statistics at Ungaged Locations in New York, excluding Long Island Random Forest Regression Model Archive for Estimating Low-Streamflow Statistics at Ungaged Locations in New York, excluding Long Island

This USGS data release contains R models (R Core Team, 2020) for estimating 7Q10 and 30Q10 [lowest annual 7-day and 30-day average streamflow that occurs (on average) once every 10 years] statistics at ungaged locations in or adjacent to New York State excluding Long Island. Details on model development are available in Stagnitta and others (2025). basin_characteristics.csv - 224 basin

Effect of PFAS Exposure on American Kestrels, Eastern Ecological Science Center, 2024 Effect of PFAS Exposure on American Kestrels, Eastern Ecological Science Center, 2024

Serum samples were collected from an American Kestrel colony at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Eastern Ecological Science Center and analyzed for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The sampling effort was undertaken as part of a Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) funded project (ER22-3388) to study the exposure effect of PFAS on immunomodulation...

Quantification of event sediment dynamics from 2007 to 2023 for statistical analyses and Machine Learning application in the Delaware and Illinois River Basins Quantification of event sediment dynamics from 2007 to 2023 for statistical analyses and Machine Learning application in the Delaware and Illinois River Basins

This Data Release contains four child items that represent sequential data processing and modeling steps. {Child Item 1} Data Preparation contains data inputs and processing steps for select sites in the Delaware and Illinois River Basins (DRB/IRB). This child item includes five sub folders: site info, streamflow and turbidity time-series, climatological information, basin shape...

CoSMoS (Coastal Storm Modeling System) modeled flood hazards for King County, Washington CoSMoS (Coastal Storm Modeling System) modeled flood hazards for King County, Washington

This data release consists of flood hazard maps from compound coastal hazards--specifically sea-level rise (SLR), projected coastal storms, and streamflow. Products include projected flood depths, flood extents including uncertainties, water elevations, velocity hazards, and flood duration. These are generated using a suite of numerical models driven by outputs from Global Climate Models...
