Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Data release for depth to bedrock from Connecticut Water Resources Bulletins Data release for depth to bedrock from Connecticut Water Resources Bulletins
This data release consists of information from published tables in Connecticut Water Resources Bulletins (WRBs) transcribed into tabular digital format. Information about wells and test holes in the WRBs used in this data release consists of geographic location, depth to consolidated rock (bedrock depth), and depth of the well or test hole. The WRBs, published between 1966 and 1980 by...
Pilot Topobathymetric Terrain Model of the Kootenai River near Bonners Ferry, Idaho, 2009 - 2019 Pilot Topobathymetric Terrain Model of the Kootenai River near Bonners Ferry, Idaho, 2009 - 2019
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) has started to initiate the development of pilot 3D National Topography Models to generate 3-dimensional surface elevation models that integrate river topographic bare-earth elevation surfaces with channel bed bathymetry. Detailed knowledge of integrated river system topography, bathymetry, and topobathymetry, is essential for...
Groundwater data, predictor variables, and rasters used for predicting redox conditions in the glacial aquifer, northern continental United States Groundwater data, predictor variables, and rasters used for predicting redox conditions in the glacial aquifer, northern continental United States
This data release contains input data used in model development and TIF raster files used to predict the probability of low dissolved oxygen (DO) and high dissolved iron (Fe) in groundwater within the glacial aquifer system in the northern continental United States. Input data include measured DO and Fe concentrations at groundwater wells, and associated predictor variable data. The...
Hawaii Island insect response to koa moth (Scotorythra paludicola) outbreak, 2013-2014 Hawaii Island insect response to koa moth (Scotorythra paludicola) outbreak, 2013-2014
This data release includes metadata and tabular data that document the responses of koa moths and other insects to changes in habitat conditions before and after koa (Acacia koa) defoliation by koa moth caterpillars (Scotorythra paludicola) at Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge during 2013-2014. Data sets document changes in (1) koa moth abundance, (2) koa moth caterpillar abundance...
Estimated Annual Recharge to the Edwards Aquifer in the San Antonio Area, by Stream Basin or Ungaged Area, 1934 - 2020 Estimated Annual Recharge to the Edwards Aquifer in the San Antonio Area, by Stream Basin or Ungaged Area, 1934 - 2020
The Edwards aquifer in south-central Texas is one of the most permeable and productive aquifers in the United States and is the major source of public water supply for Bexar, Comal, Hays, Medina, and Uvalde Counties. The Edwards aquifer also supplies large quantities of water to agriculture, business, and industry in the region. The major artesian springs of the Edwards aquifer provide...
2017 Zooplankton Data from Lake Huron 2017 Zooplankton Data from Lake Huron
This data release includes zooplankton data collected with a 64-micron mesh net from 9 transects in Lake Huron between April and August 2017. At each transect, data were collected at up to three sites, ranging in bottom depths from 18 to 82 m. The volume sampled at each site was estimated with a flowmeter. Micro- and macro- crustaceans were identified, enumerated, and measured using a...
