Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

6PPD-quinone concentrations in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, California, 2018-2024 6PPD-quinone concentrations in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, California, 2018-2024
The Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta is a crucial river delta that supplies a significant portion of California's freshwater for agricultural and residential use and serves as critical habitat for numerous state and federally listed species of concern. In several areas, urban stormwater drains discharge directly into the Delta. 6PPD-quinone (6PPD-Q, 2-anilo-5-[(4-methylpentan-2- yl)amino...

National Geochemical Database on Ore Deposits: New data featuring fusion digestion analytical methods National Geochemical Database on Ore Deposits: New data featuring fusion digestion analytical methods
There is a growing demand for commodities (elements, compounds, minerals) used in today's advanced technologies. Critical minerals are usually found in ore deposits that are deemed vital to economic and national security. National Geochemical Database on Ore Deposits: New data featuring fusion digestion (NGDOD) analytical methods contains chemistry and geologic information for 16,579 ore...
Long term dissolved oxygen concentrations in the metalimnion of Lake Powell reservoir and laboratory dissolved oxygen demand incubations from water and sediment collected in Lake Powell inflows and Chinle Wash Long term dissolved oxygen concentrations in the metalimnion of Lake Powell reservoir and laboratory dissolved oxygen demand incubations from water and sediment collected in Lake Powell inflows and Chinle Wash
These data were compiled to better understand the controls on the magnitude of the metalimnion low dissolved oxygen zone in Lake Powell reservoir. These data represent dissolved oxygen, total suspended sediment, and nutrient data collected during laboratory water and sediment incubations. These data also represent summaries of summertime metalimnion dissolved oxygen concentrations at...
Water level, salinity, and elevation data at Turtle Bayou Mitigation Area of Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge, 2025 (ver. 2.0, January 2026) Water level, salinity, and elevation data at Turtle Bayou Mitigation Area of Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge, 2025 (ver. 2.0, January 2026)
Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge (BSNWR) is an urban refuge in southeastern Louisiana that has been altered extensively due to human impacts. As a result, the hydrology of the impounded (interior) marshes within the BSNWR has been disrupted due to obstructions such as spoil banks, levees, and water control structures that affect the gradient and fluctuation of water surface...
Nutrient balances, river loads, and a counterfactual analysis to determine drivers of Mississippi River nitrogen and phosphorus loads from 1975 to 2017 Nutrient balances, river loads, and a counterfactual analysis to determine drivers of Mississippi River nitrogen and phosphorus loads from 1975 to 2017
This data release includes data processing scripts, data products, and associated metadata for a study investigating trends in Mississippi River nitrogen and phosphorus loads to the Gulf of Mexico. This data release consists of three main components: 1) Nitrogen and phosphorus balances and accumulation, which account for major nutrient inputs (fertilizer, manure, waste water treatment...
Walrus Haulout Aerial Survey Data Near Point Lay, Alaska Walrus Haulout Aerial Survey Data Near Point Lay, Alaska
This dataset consists of the complete set of processed aerial imagery and survey data from walrus haulouts collected by unoccupied aerial system (UAS) surveys near Pt. Lay, Alaska, during the autumn 2024 and 2025. The data include georeferenced optical three band (red, green, blue) aerial images and orthoimages derived from those aerial images through the standardized structure from...
