Chui Ling Cheng

Biography

Chui Ling Cheng has been a hydrologist with the USGS Pacific Islands Water Science Center since 2010. Her research on surface-water availability in Hawaiian streams focuses on developing statistical models to describe natural low flows at gaged and ungaged streams, and quantifying gains and losses in streamflow to better understand the interactions between surface water and groundwater. Her work helps to provide the hydrologic foundation for the development of instream flow standards for Hawaiian streams.
