Data
Hydrologic data collection, processing, analysis, dissemination, and archiving are major parts of the New Jersey Water Science Center program. Streamflow data, for example, are used for flood and water-supply forecasts, planning and design, river regulation, streamflow statistics, and research investigations. Much of the data are available on a near-real-time basis by satellite telemetry.

The USGS provides access to many different data and analytical tools for understanding the water-resource quality, quantity, distribution, and movement of surface and underground waters in New Jersey.
USGS StreamStats
StreamStats is a Web-based Geographic Information Systems (GIS) application that provides users with access to an assortment of analytical tools that are useful for a variety of water-resources planning and management purposes.
