The USGS is a federal research agency that provides impartial scientific analyses on the health of our ecosystems and environment, the natural hazards that threaten us, the natural resources we rely on, and the impacts of climate and land-use change. This is our office in Oregon.
The Oregon Water Science Center uses state-of-the-art techniques for data collection and interpretation. We employ rigorous quality-control methods in carrying out our activites. Our scientists have a wide range of expertise in all areas of water science, including: water quality, groundwater, surface water, and aquatic ecosystems.
The Oregon Water Science Center partners with Federal, State, County, local, Tribal, and public entities in the conduct of our scientific investigations. These partnerships are in the form of shared funding and other services.
