Xan Fredericks, Lidar Coordinator for the CMHRP and the NGP Associate National Map Liaison to Florida, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, has been invited to be the Keynote Speaker for the first-ever GeoFlo Summit.
Coastal and Marine Hazards and Resources Program Lidar Coordinator/National Geospatial Program Associate National Map Liaison invited as Keynote Speaker at the 1st Annual GeoFlo Summit 2019
The summit is a collaborative effort organized by Gulf Coast GIS, Polk GIS, Tampa Bay GIS, and Women in GIS Tampa Bay Chapter. The keynote is titled “How the USGS Empowers West-Central Florida Geospatially” and will showcase how the USGS collaborates and coordinates with other Federal, state, and local agencies, as well as how GIS supports the communication and dissemination of geospatial data though tools, such as the USGS Coastal Change Hazards Portal.
The GeoFlo Summit is an effort to empower West-Central Florida in the geospatial realm. The free, one-day Summit will provide opportunities to learn new GIS skills and network with area professionals, with topics on disaster recovery tools, drones, lidar, machine learning, and more. The first-ever GeoFlo Summit is being hosted by Gulf Coast GIS, Polk GIS Tampa Bay GIS, and the Women in GIS Tampa Bay Chapter.
