August thunderstorm flooding
Heavy thunderstorms in the northern portions of Maricopa County caused flooding on Skunk Creek, Cave Creek, New River, Agua Fria River, and Hassayampa River. Water from Skunk Creek flooded parts of Interstate Highway 17 as flows crossed the CAP Canal.

September: Hurricane Odile
The remnants of Hurricane Odile brought significant rainfall to the Southwest on September 17th through the 20th. Southeastern Arizona received the most widespread rainfall from the storm, with over three inches of rain in Sierra Vista, Bisbee and the Douglas areas.
