Maine StreamStats Foundation Data Layers Maine StreamStats Foundation Data Layers

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with Maine Department of Transportation, has compiled a series of GIS datasets to be implemented into the USGS StreamStats application for the State of Maine. These data were compiled from the high-resolution National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) and the Maine Lidar-Derived Watersheds (Sturtevant and Schoen, 2022). By using these datasets...

PIT Tags Encountered by Klamath Falls Field Station Equipment in the Upper Klamath Basin PIT Tags Encountered by Klamath Falls Field Station Equipment in the Upper Klamath Basin

Data were collected as part of a long-term capture-recapture program to assess the status and dynamics of populations of two long-lived, federally endangered catostomids in Upper Klamath Lake, Oregon and Clear Lake Reservoir, California. Lost River suckers (LRS; Deltistes luxatus) and shortnose suckers (SNS; Chasmistes brevirostris) have been captured and tagged with passive integrated...

The U.S. Inland Creel and Angler Survey Catalog (CreelCat): A Database and Interactive Tool for Inland Fisheries Management and Research (Depreciated April 2023) The U.S. Inland Creel and Angler Survey Catalog (CreelCat): A Database and Interactive Tool for Inland Fisheries Management and Research (Depreciated April 2023)

The U.S. Inland Creel and Angler Survey Catalog (CreelCat) contains data compiled from 14,766 creel and angler surveys conducted by state natural resource management agencies (including Washington DC and Puerto Rico) in inland waters across the United States. Data is are contained in eight .csv files which contain information about survey characteristics (Survey_Data.csv), angler effort...

Water-level data and results for slug tests performed in 17 wells in Wake County, North Carolina, 2020 and 2021 (ver. 1.1, May 2025) Water-level data and results for slug tests performed in 17 wells in Wake County, North Carolina, 2020 and 2021 (ver. 1.1, May 2025)

In accordance with the 50-year planning window used by the North Carolina Division of Water Resources for residents in unincorporated areas of the county, Wake County seeks to better understand the sustainability of groundwater resources of the regolith/fractured-rock aquifer system. Slug tests were performed in 17 wells in the Wake County area, during 2020 and 2021, to provide...

Bat activity and insect abundance data along the Colorado River in Grand Canyon, AZ Bat activity and insect abundance data along the Colorado River in Grand Canyon, AZ

These data were compiled to improve our understanding of bat foraging along the Colorado River in Grand Canyon. Objectives of our study were to determine whether bat activity was influenced primarily by variation in prey availability relative to other environmental or geomorphic factors. These data represent 1,428 paired samples of bat activity and insect abundance calculated as catch...

Tree ring dataset for a regional avalanche chronology in southeast Alaska, 1396 - 2019 Tree ring dataset for a regional avalanche chronology in southeast Alaska, 1396 - 2019

This dataset includes processed tree ring data from avalanche paths in southeast Alaska, USA. The data were processed in three distinct phases that resulted in this dataset: collection, processing, and avalanche signal analysis. This dataset consists of samples from 434 cross sections from 426 unique trees throughout six avalanche paths in the study region. This resulted in 2706...

Regional geophysical maps of the Great Basin, USA Regional geophysical maps of the Great Basin, USA

Regional geophysical maps of the Great Basin, USA were generated from new and existing sources to support ongoing efforts to characterize geothermal resource potential in the western US. These include: (1) a provisional regional gravity grid that was produced from data compiled from multiple sources: data collected by the USGS and Utah Geological Survey under various projects, industry...

This data release has the results of 333 online survey respondents representing 17 federal agencies and 7 Executive Branch departments from March 14 through April 14, 2022 regarding The Federal Priority Streamgage (FPS) network of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The FPS network was created in 1999 as the National Streamflow Information Program and receives congressionally appropriated...

Flood Frequency Data and 2022 Observed Flood Probability for Two Streamgages in the Delta River Basin, Alaska, 1963-2022 Flood Frequency Data and 2022 Observed Flood Probability for Two Streamgages in the Delta River Basin, Alaska, 1963-2022

This data release provides the source data and results of a flood frequency analysis and annual exceedance probability estimation for a flood that occurred on July 11, 2022 in the Delta River Basin, Alaska. Data are provided for two streamgages that had at least 10 years of peak-flow record. The data include streamgage information, PeakFQ input (.txt and .PSF files) PeakFQ output (.PRT,...

Water-quality and phytoplankton data for Lake Pontchartrain and the western Mississippi Sound associated with operation of the Bonnet Carre Spillway, 2008-2020 Water-quality and phytoplankton data for Lake Pontchartrain and the western Mississippi Sound associated with operation of the Bonnet Carre Spillway, 2008-2020

The Bonnet Carré Spillway (BCS), located about 28 miles northwest of New Orleans, Louisiana, was constructed in the early 1930s as part of an integrated flood-control system for the lower Mississippi River Plain. The BCS is designed to divert water from the Mississippi River (MSR) into Lake Pontchartrain (LP), which then flows into Lake Borgne and the Mississippi Sound (MS Sound), thus...

Electrical Resistivity Tomography Data along the Little Colorado River near Leupp, AZ 2019 Electrical Resistivity Tomography Data along the Little Colorado River near Leupp, AZ 2019

The Little Colorado River alluvial aquifer near Leupp, Arizona was investigated as a possible source of irrigation water for the Leupp and Birdsprings Chapters of the Navajo Nation. The physical, chemical, and hydraulic characteristics of the alluvial aquifer were studied using geophysical surveys, installation of observation wells, water-level measurements, chemical analyses...

Examining the influence of deep learning architecture on generalizability for predicting stream temperature in the Delaware River Basin Examining the influence of deep learning architecture on generalizability for predicting stream temperature in the Delaware River Basin

This data release and model archive provides all data, code, and modelling results used in Topp et al. (2023) to examine the influence of deep learning architecture on generalizability when predicting stream temperature in the Delaware River Basin (DRB). Briefly, we modeled stream temperature in the DRB using two spatially and temporally aware process guided deep learning models (a...
