Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Oregon spotted frog (Rana pretiosa) telemetry and habitat use at Crane Prairie Reservoir in Oregon, USA Oregon spotted frog (Rana pretiosa) telemetry and habitat use at Crane Prairie Reservoir in Oregon, USA
We used radio-telemetry to study late-season movement and habitat use by Oregon spotted frogs (Rana pretiosa) at Crane Prairie Reservoir in Oregon. This dataset includes individual frog location data and habitat use during each tracking event that occurred roughly weekly between September and late November of 2018.
High-rate GNSS Observations and Finite Fault Models of Moderate to Large Earthquakes High-rate GNSS Observations and Finite Fault Models of Moderate to Large Earthquakes
This database complements the following publication: Goldberg, D. E., D. Melgar, G. P. Hayes, B. W. Crowell, and V. J. Sahakian (2021). A Ground-Motion Model for GNSS Peak Ground Displacement, Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America XX, 1-15, doi: 10.1785/0120210042. High-rate Global Navigations Satellite Systems (GNSS) data is recognized as a valuable complement to traditional...

This dataset complements the following publication: Goldberg, D.E. & Haynie, K.L (2021) Ready for real-time: Performance of Global Navigation Satellite Systems in 2019 Mw7.1 Ridgecrest, California, rapid response products, Seismological Research Letters, doi: 10.1785/0220210278. The availability of low-latency, high-rate Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) waveforms makes it...
Global gray-sky dT: the inverse of the surface psychrometric constant parameter in the SSEBop evapotranspiration model Global gray-sky dT: the inverse of the surface psychrometric constant parameter in the SSEBop evapotranspiration model
The surface psychrometric constant (spc) is a key model parameter in actual evapotranspiration modeling using the Operational Simplified Surface Energy Balance (SSEBop) model for establishing model boundary limits for the dry/bare and wet/vegetated surface conditions. The inverse of the constant (1/spc) represents the temperature difference (dT) between the bare/dry surface and the air...
EverSparrow model scripts and outputs EverSparrow model scripts and outputs
EverSparrow is a spatially explicit Bayesian model of Cape Sable Seaside Sparrow (Ammospiza maritima mirabilis; CSSS) presence that quantifies the interdependent relationships between a range of environmental factors and CSSS presence. Using hydrologic conditions such as mean 4-year hydroperiod and maximum depth, fire occurrence history, and vegetation structure throughout the range of...
CE-QUAL-W2 water-quality model and supporting LOADEST models for J. Percy Priest Reservoir, Tennessee CE-QUAL-W2 water-quality model and supporting LOADEST models for J. Percy Priest Reservoir, Tennessee
CE-QUAL-W2, a mechanistic, two-dimensional model of hydrodynamics and water quality (Portland State University, 2021), was developed and calibrated for J. Percy Priest Reservoir, Tennessee, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) reservoir on the Stones River, southeast of Nashville, Tennessee. The J. Percy Priest CE-QUAL-W2 model was simulated and calibrated using USACE data collected...
Morphological measurements of Antillean manatees from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba Morphological measurements of Antillean manatees from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
The data were collected by U.S.G.S. biologists and their partners during several field trips from March 2013 to April 2014 in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Data were collected during the manatee health assessments. The U.S. Geological Survey's Sirenia Project is a federal research effort focusing on manatee biology and ecology with a long history of studies in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the...
Counts of Birds in Aerial Photos from Fall Waterfowl Surveys, Izembek Lagoon, Alaska, 2017-2019 Counts of Birds in Aerial Photos from Fall Waterfowl Surveys, Izembek Lagoon, Alaska, 2017-2019
This dataset includes tables summarizing image information and bird counts from the aerial digital images taken over open water at Izembek Lagoon in Alaska in fall 2017-2019. These summaries list one record per image and provide the camera parameters, latitude, longitude, altitude, and automated and manual counts representing the total number of birds in each taxon (brant, white-cheeked...
Salt Marsh Turbidity at Mockhorn Island, VA; Plum Island, MA; York River, VA; and Altamaha River, GA Salt Marsh Turbidity at Mockhorn Island, VA; Plum Island, MA; York River, VA; and Altamaha River, GA
We measured turbidity along transects from channel to marsh interior for 4 sites along the east coast of the United States at: Mockhorn Island, on the Eastern Shore of VA, USA; Plum Island in MA, USA; Goodwin Islands on the York River, VA USA; and the Altamaha River estuary, in GA, USA.
Red Lionfish DNA data collected from Florida, USA and around the invasive distribution from 2007 to 2016 Red Lionfish DNA data collected from Florida, USA and around the invasive distribution from 2007 to 2016
Red lionfish (Pterois volitans) have become a successful invasive predator across the Northwestern Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico (GoM). Previous investigations have identified the southeast coast of Florida as the original site of introduction, but no region-wide genetic study has directly addressed the question of introduction location(s). This dataset includes previously...

Data to Inform an Integrated Population Model of Translocated Columbian Sharp-Tailed Grouse, Nevada 2013 - 2017 Data to Inform an Integrated Population Model of Translocated Columbian Sharp-Tailed Grouse, Nevada 2013 - 2017
These data include encounter histories, nest attempts, hatched egg counts, brood counts, time-varying matrices, survival statistics, and lek counts, all used in an integrated population model (IPM) to determine the status of a population of translocated Columbian sharp-tailed grouse (Tympanuchus phasianellus columbianus; CSTG) in Nevada. Sharp-tailed grouse were translocated to a remote...
