Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Geospatial Dataset for the Geologic Framework and Hydrostratigraphy of the Edwards and Trinity Aquifers within Northern Medina County, Texas at 1:24,000 Geospatial Dataset for the Geologic Framework and Hydrostratigraphy of the Edwards and Trinity Aquifers within Northern Medina County, Texas at 1:24,000
This data release supports the U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigation Map (SIM) by Clark and others (2020) by documenting the data used to create the geologic maps and describes the geologic framework and hydrostratigraphy of the Edwards and Trinity aquifers for a 442 square-mile area in northern Medina County in south Texas. The karstic Edwards and Trinity aquifers that are the...

Peak-flow frequency analyses for selected streamgages in and near Powell County, Montana, based on data through water year 2019 Peak-flow frequency analyses for selected streamgages in and near Powell County, Montana, based on data through water year 2019
The USGS Wyoming-Montana Water Science Center (WY-MT WSC) completed a report (Sando and McCarthy, 2018) documenting methods for peak-flow frequency analysis following implementation of the Bulletin 17C guidelines. The methods are used to provide estimates of peak-flow quantiles for 66.7-, 50-, 42.9-, 20-, 10-, 4-, 2-, 1-, 0.5-, and 0.2-percent annual exceedance probabilities (AEPs) for...
MODFLOW-NWT model with SWI2 used to evaluate the water-table response of sea-level rise and change in recharge, Assateague Island, Maryland and Virginia: MODFLOW-NWT model with SWI2 used to evaluate the water-table response of sea-level rise and change in recharge, Assateague Island, Maryland and Virginia:
A three-dimensional groundwater flow model, MODFLOW-NWT with the SWI2 module, was developed to provide a better understanding of the fresh groundwater system of Assateague Island, Maryland and Virginia. Groundwater flow on Assateague Island was simulated to evaluate the effects of sea-level rise and changes in recharge on the depth to freshwater below the land surface, changes in...
MODFLOW-NWT model used in Simulation of Groundwater Flow, and Analysis of Projected Water Use for the Washita River Alluvial Aquifer, Western Oklahoma MODFLOW-NWT model used in Simulation of Groundwater Flow, and Analysis of Projected Water Use for the Washita River Alluvial Aquifer, Western Oklahoma
In 2020 the U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, published a calibrated numerical groundwater-flow model and associated model documentation report that evaluated the effects of potential groundwater withdrawals on groundwater flow and availability in the Washita River alluvial aquifer in western Oklahoma. The results of groundwater-availability...
Multichannel seismic-reflection and navigation data collected using SIG ELC1200 and Applied Acoustics Delta Sparkers and Geometrics GeoEel digital streamers during USGS field activity 2020-014-FA. Multichannel seismic-reflection and navigation data collected using SIG ELC1200 and Applied Acoustics Delta Sparkers and Geometrics GeoEel digital streamers during USGS field activity 2020-014-FA.
In March 2020, the U.S. Geological Survey and the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez (UPRM) Department of Marine Sciences conducted a marine seismic-reflection experiment focused on observing geophysical evidence of submarine faulting and mass wasting related to the southwestern Puerto Rico seismic sequence of 2019-20. The seismic sequence culminated with a magnitude 6.4 earthquake...
Data and rloadest models for daily total nitrogen load for the School Branch Watershed, Hendricks County, Indiana - water years 2016-2018 Data and rloadest models for daily total nitrogen load for the School Branch Watershed, Hendricks County, Indiana - water years 2016-2018
Total Nitrogen (TN) rloadest models were developed to compute TN flux at School Branch at three USGS monitoring stations: School Branch at Maloney Road near Brownsburg, Indiana (03353415); School Branch at CR750N at Brownsburg, Indiana (03353420); and School Branch at Noble Drive at Brownsburg, Indiana (03353430). Frequently, TN models developed in rloadest regress discrete TN...
In situ U-Pb dating of apatite and rutile from St. Francois Mountains IOA and IOCG deposits, southeast Missouri In situ U-Pb dating of apatite and rutile from St. Francois Mountains IOA and IOCG deposits, southeast Missouri
Apatite (Ca5(PO4)3(Cl/F/OH)) and rutile (TiO2) samples were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from the iron oxide-apatite-rare earth element (IOA-REE) and iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) deposits hosted by the Mesoproterozoic, St. Francois Mountains terrane, southeast Missouri. Samples were prepared and analyzed for direct age dating on a laser ablation inductively coupled...
Geochemical analyses of rock samples collected from the Dora Bay peralkaline igneous complex, Prince of Wales Island, southeastern Alaska Geochemical analyses of rock samples collected from the Dora Bay peralkaline igneous complex, Prince of Wales Island, southeastern Alaska
This data release presents the major and trace element chemistry of rock samples collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from surface exposures of the Dora Bay igneous complex (DBIC), located in the southern part of Prince of Wales Island, southeastern Alaska. The DBIC is Early Jurassic in age (Bala and others, 2014) and is U-Th-heavy rare earth element (HREE)-enriched like the...
National Streamflow Statistics (NSS) Application National Streamflow Statistics (NSS) Application
The National Streamflow Statistics (NSS) Application is an online computer application that provides a simple method for applying regional flood-peak streamflow estimates and low flow frequency/duration streamflow estimates.
Enhanced Terrain Imagery of the Allentown 30 x 60 Minute Quadrangle from Lidar-Derived Elevation Models at 3-Meter Resolution Enhanced Terrain Imagery of the Allentown 30 x 60 Minute Quadrangle from Lidar-Derived Elevation Models at 3-Meter Resolution
This imagery dataset consists of 3-meter resolution, lidar-derived imagery of the Allentown 30 x 60 minute quadrangle in Pennsylvania and part of New Jersey. It also covers part of the Delaware River Basin. The source data used to construct this imagery consists of 1-meter and 2-meter resolution Lidar-derived digital elevation models (DEMs). The lidar source data were compiled from...
