Model Archive Summary for Turbidity Derived Suspended-Sediment Concentrations at 11312672 Victoria Canal Near Byron, Ca Model Archive Summary for Turbidity Derived Suspended-Sediment Concentrations at 11312672 Victoria Canal Near Byron, Ca

Continuous 15-minute time-series suspended-sediment concentration (SSC) data computed from instream turbidity data. Turbidity data is managed by California Department of Water Resources (CDWR) using a YSI-6-series multi-parameter water quality sonde. Complete methods for turbidity data collection are described in attached methods document.

Survival of early instar mayflies (Neocloeon triangulifer) exposed to mixtures of major ion salts Survival of early instar mayflies (Neocloeon triangulifer) exposed to mixtures of major ion salts

This data set consists of 96-hour survival of the mayfly Neocloeon triangulifer exposed to a variety of major ion (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, sulfate, bicarbonate) single salts, binary, and trinary mixtures, gluconate salts, and the organic molecule D-mannitol. Mayflies were less than 24-hours old at the beginning of tests. Mixtures consisted of pairs with either...

Stream Characteristics and Species Data for Foothill Yellow-legged Frogs in Southern San Benito and Western Fresno Counties, California, 2019-2021 Stream Characteristics and Species Data for Foothill Yellow-legged Frogs in Southern San Benito and Western Fresno Counties, California, 2019-2021

These data contain information on stream characteristics (intermittency and temperature), vegetation (canopy and algal cover), amphibian, reptile, and fish observations, and pathogen (amphibian chytrid fungus, Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis) prevalence, all of which are relevant for the suitability of streams in Pinnacles National Park for the reintroduction of foothill yellow-legged...

Watershed Data Management (WDM) Database (SC23.WDM) for Salt Creek Streamflow Simulation, DuPage County, Illinois, January 1, 1997, through September 30, 2023 Watershed Data Management (WDM) Database (SC23.WDM) for Salt Creek Streamflow Simulation, DuPage County, Illinois, January 1, 1997, through September 30, 2023

This data release (DR) is the update of the U.S. Geological Survey - ScienceBase DR (Bera, 2024b), with the processed data for the period October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023. This DR describes the watershed data management (WDM) database file SC23.WDM. The precipitation data are collected from a tipping-bucket rain-gage network and the hydrologic data (stage and discharge) are...

Environmental and economic classification of words used in news articles about water bottling facilities in the U.S. from 1990 to 2024 Environmental and economic classification of words used in news articles about water bottling facilities in the U.S. from 1990 to 2024

This dataset contains a list of words that occurred at least 100 times from a news media search in LexisNexis, a large news archive database, about water bottling facilities in the U.S. from 1990 to 2024. Each word listed was classified as typically discussed in the context of the environment, the economy, both or neither. The data was used to conduct natural language processing lexicon...

Long-term Trends in Spring and Summer-flooded Wetland area in Suisun Marsh, California Long-term Trends in Spring and Summer-flooded Wetland area in Suisun Marsh, California

We digitized water on the landscape for breeding waterfowl and other wetland-associated species within Suisun Marsh (California, USA) twice each year (spring and summer) during a 38-year period (1984-2021) with remote sensing methods that combined Landsat satellite imagery (composite images) and spectral mixture analysis using Google Earth Engine. This dataset contains the amount of...
