Size distribution and reproductive data of the invasive Burmese python (Python molurus bivittatus) in the Greater Everglades Ecosystem, Florida, USA, 1995-2021 Size distribution and reproductive data of the invasive Burmese python (Python molurus bivittatus) in the Greater Everglades Ecosystem, Florida, USA, 1995-2021
This dataset contains morphometric information from Burmese pythons collected from an invasive population in southern Florida between 1995-2021. Scientists from the U.S. Geological Survey and the National Park Service curated this dataset as a repository for records of Burmese pythons found on or nearby federal lands in southern Florida, including Everglades National Park, Big Cypress...
Brown trout movement data in Glen and Grand Canyons, Arizona, USA Brown trout movement data in Glen and Grand Canyons, Arizona, USA
These data were compiled to test hypotheses regarding drivers of movement of brown trout. Objectives of our study were to test whether the degree of movement varied in response to placement of a weir in Bright Angel Creek, fall timed flooding events, or simply seasonal changes. These data represent summarized capture histories of brown trout in terms of states based on physical locations...
Bathymetric survey and stage-storage assessment of Quail Lake, Calif., collected in 2022 Bathymetric survey and stage-storage assessment of Quail Lake, Calif., collected in 2022
This bathymetric dataset provides an update to the stage-storage relation for Quail Lake (reservoir) located in the El Dorado National Forest, Calif. Bathymetric data was collected using a multibeam echo sounder to provide near-complete coverage and was merged with USGS 3DEP lidar to compute a DEM of the lake and near shore. The DEM was used to computed storage and surface area for a...
Little Rock Reservoir, California, 2022 bathymetric survey and stage-storage computations Little Rock Reservoir, California, 2022 bathymetric survey and stage-storage computations
This bathymetric dataset provides an update to the stage-storage relation for Little Rock Reservoir located in the Angeles National Forest, California. Bathymetric data was collected using a multibeam echo sounder to provide near-complete coverage and was merged with U.S. Geological Survey 3D Elevation Project lidar to compute a digital elevation model (DEM) of the reservoir and...
Cyanotoxin, chlorophyll-a, and cyanobacterial toxin genetic data for samples collected at twelve large river sites throughout the United States, June through October 2019 Cyanotoxin, chlorophyll-a, and cyanobacterial toxin genetic data for samples collected at twelve large river sites throughout the United States, June through October 2019
This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release provides discretely measured cyanotoxin, chlorophyll-a, and cyanobacterial toxin genetic data for samples collected from twelve large river sites throughout the United States, from June through October 2019. Discrete water-quality samples were analyzed for cyanotoxins (anatoxin, cylindrospermopsin, microcystin, and saxitoxin), chlorophyll-a...
Physicochemical measurements of the coastal aquifer and coastal groundwater discharge on Kalaupapa, Moloka'i, Hawaii Physicochemical measurements of the coastal aquifer and coastal groundwater discharge on Kalaupapa, Moloka'i, Hawaii
This data table includes in-situ near-shore seawater measurements of excess radon (Rn-222), tide and crater lake water levels and salinity collected in Kalaupapa, Moloka'i, Hawaii.
County-level maps of cropland surface water inundation measured from Landsat and MODIS County-level maps of cropland surface water inundation measured from Landsat and MODIS
This dataset represents a summary of potential cropland inundation for the state of California applying high-frequency surface water map composites derived from two satellite remote sensing platforms (Landsat and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer [MODIS]) with high-quality cropland maps generated by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR). Using Google Earth Engine...
Borehole data for pre-Cretaceous basement rocks beneath the Atlantic Coastal Plain, Georgia and South Carolina Borehole data for pre-Cretaceous basement rocks beneath the Atlantic Coastal Plain, Georgia and South Carolina
Data from 391 boreholes (including coreholes) that penetrated buried pre-Cretaceous basement rocks that lie beneath Atlantic Coastal Plain sedimentary deposits in Georgia and South Carolina were compiled from non-proprietary, mostly published sources in order to support subsurface geologic mapping, geologic interpretation of geophysical data (aeromagnetic, gravity, seismic), topical...
Data Release: Peat collapse and vegetation shift after storm-driven saltwater surge in a tidal freshwater swamp, Taxodium distichum growth Data Release: Peat collapse and vegetation shift after storm-driven saltwater surge in a tidal freshwater swamp, Taxodium distichum growth
In 2013 five Taxodium distichum trees along a 125 m long transect of Hickory Point State Forest outside Pocomoke City, Maryland were outfitted with dendrobands. Each year the growth of the T. distichum trees was measured in terms of the ratio of that year's circumference to the previous year's circumference. Tree growth was measured until the year the tree died or the conclusion of the...
Data Release: Peat collapse and vegetation shift after storm-driven saltwater surge in a tidal freshwater swamp, tree height and density 2021 Data Release: Peat collapse and vegetation shift after storm-driven saltwater surge in a tidal freshwater swamp, tree height and density 2021
On November 11, 2021, the height, density, and species richness of trees were recorded in five plots along a 175 m transect at Hickory Point State Forest near Pocomoke City, Maryland. This data was divided into categories depending on if the tree was alive, dead, or a sapling. Emergent species' height, density, and richness was also recorded.
Data Release: Peat collapse and vegetation shift after storm-driven saltwater surge in a tidal freshwater swamp, vegetation Data Release: Peat collapse and vegetation shift after storm-driven saltwater surge in a tidal freshwater swamp, vegetation
This dataset documents the water quality in depth, salinity, and pH as well as the vegetation found in the freshwater swamps of Hickory Point State Forest near Pocomoke City, Maryland from 2013 to 2021.
Data Release: Peat collapse and vegetation shift after storm-driven saltwater surge in a tidal freshwater swamp, CTD Diver data Data Release: Peat collapse and vegetation shift after storm-driven saltwater surge in a tidal freshwater swamp, CTD Diver data
This dataset represents data collected from 2018 to 2021 by a submersible datalogger known as a CTD Diver located in a well 48 cm below soil level at Hickory Point State Forest near Pocomoke City, Maryland.
