Floodplain Ecosystem Service Mapper Floodplain Ecosystem Service Mapper
Healthy floodplains and wetlands provide critical ecosystem services to local and downstream communities by retaining sediments, nutrients, and floodwaters. Land conversion and degradation diminish floodplain functionality and services.
Georgia Water Use Georgia Water Use
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) South Atlantic Water Science Center and the Environmental Protection Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources have been collecting and compiling water-use information in Georgia since 1980 as part of an ongoing cooperative agreement.
Groundwater Conditions of Georgia Groundwater Conditions of Georgia
The Groundwater Conditions of Georgia web tool has interactive maps and graphs, that calculate water level trends over time. The application is a continuation of a series of reports begun in 1978.
Colorado River Basin drought and the 2023 water year Colorado River Basin drought and the 2023 water year
How wet was 2023 when compared to historical averages? This geonarrative compares precipitation and streamflow amounts observed during the 2023 water year with historical conditions in the Colorado River Basin over the last 30 years. While the 2023 water year was a wet year with above-average precipitation at many locations, it was not uniformly good or record-setting.
USGS Science Collaboration Portal for the Colorado River Basin USGS Science Collaboration Portal for the Colorado River Basin
To help resource managers plan and mitigate long-term drought impacts in the Colorado River Basin, the USGS has launched a platform that brings together science, data, and mapping and analytical tools from across the basin in a central location.

Alaska Geochemical Database Alaska Geochemical Database
The Alaska Geochemical Database Version 4.0 (AGDB4) contains geochemical data compilations in which each geologic material sample has one “best value” determination for each analyzed species. Best values are for mineral exploration and assessment purposes and should not be assumed to be appropriate for other uses.
U.S. Geological Survey National Produced Waters Geochemical Database (ver. 3.0, December 2023) Viewer U.S. Geological Survey National Produced Waters Geochemical Database (ver. 3.0, December 2023) Viewer
The U.S. Geological Survey National Produced Waters Geochemical Database Viewer (ver. 3.0) provides access to an updated compilation of geochemical and related information for water from oil and gas wells in the United States. The information includes identification and location information, well descriptions, dates, rock properties, physical properties of the water, organic chemistry and more.
Water bottling across the U.S. Water bottling across the U.S.
This Web Tool explores the count of water bottling facilities across the U.S. Facility types include bottled water facilities, breweries, distilleries, ice facilities, soft drink manufacturing plants, and wineries. Reported volumes withdrawn (water use) for bottled water facilities are also explored for the small number of facilities for which data are currently available.
REmote Aquatic Chlorophyll-a Tracker (REACT) REmote Aquatic Chlorophyll-a Tracker (REACT)
This tool shows the presence of aquatic chlorophyll-a in select waterbodies. Note: This tool indicates the presence of aquatic chlorophyll-a and should not be used to determine if a toxic cyanobacterial bloom (harmful algal bloom) is present.
Albuquerque Region Nitrate Map Viewer Albuquerque Region Nitrate Map Viewer
This interactive map summarizes historical groundwater sampling for nitrate in the Albuquerque Basin, potential sources of nitrate in groundwater, and other complementary data.
