William Seelig is a Hydrologist with the USGS New Mexico Water Science Center

I am involved in basin-level monitoring studies to document and understand hydrologic impacts to aquifer availability and sustainability. My research involves the use of near-surface geophysical techniques to investigate subsurface structure, hydrogeology, and changes in aquifer storage and recovery.

Since joining USGS, I have also been involved in outreach and communication efforts including the USGS Evening Public Lecture Series, USGS ShakeAlert Earthquake Early Warning Program and STEM outreach in the El Paso/Las Cruces region.
