The Fish and Climate Change Database (FiCli)
To address the need for a comprehensive resource of climate change effects on inland fishes globally, researchers with the NCASC and federal and university collaborators conducted an extensive, systematic primary literature review to identify peer-reviewed publications describing projected and documented examples of climate change impacts on inland fishes. They compiled this information into the standardized Fish and Climate Change database, FiCli (pronounced fick-lee). Using FiCli, researchers, managers, and other interested users can query fish families, species, response types, and geographic locations to obtain summary information on inland fish responses to climate change and recommended management actions. This tool is intended to support climate adaptation and management for inland fishes and is updated annually.
