The Utah Water Science Center collects water and sediment samples for physical, chemical, and biological analyses. Results of discrete sample analyses are stored in a national database that is a large and complex set of data. Nationally, more than 4.5 million records are stored in the database that have been collected by a variety of local and national projects.
