Kilauea Message 2025-03-19 09:38:19 HST
An eighth small lava flow emerging from the north vent erupted at 9:26 a.m. HST on March 19. This flow was accompanied by spatter in the north and south vent.
Kilauea Message 2025-03-19 06:15:22 HST
A seventh short-lived flow erupted from the south vent between 6:02 a.m. and 6:10 a.m. HST March 19. This flow was accompanied by large spatter bursts from the south vent that could be seen over the top of the north cone on the V1 camera.

A sixth sluggish lava flow erupted from the south vent from 5:04 to 5:14 am HST March 19. The continuous eruption of lava accompanied by fountaining that would mark episode 14 has not yet begun but is likely to start in 24 hours or less.

Periodic small, sluggish flows continue from the south vent. The fourth and fifth flows erupted from 3:36 to 3:46 a.m. HST. and from 4:20 a.m. to 4:28 a.m. HST March 19. The flows went about 50 feet (15 m) from the vent.

A third small tongue of sluggish lava overflowed the south vent from 1:57 to 2:01 am HST on March 19. This flow extended about 50 feet or 15 meters from the south vent. Occasional spatter bursts have been observed in the north vent.

Two small lava flows emerged from the south vent, one around midnight and the other around 1:00 am HST on March 19. The flows were short lived, lasting only about 5 minutes each and traveled only 15-30 feet (5-10 meters) from the vent.
Mauna Loa Message 2025-03-14 18:27:46 HST
On Friday, March 14, 5:25 p.m. HST, a M4.4 earthquake occurred 34 mi (55 km) west of Hawaiian Ocean View Estates, Island of Hawaiʻi, at a depth of 22 mi (36 km) below sea level. Shaking was moderate and widely felt, no damage expected.

Episode 13 ended at 3:13 pm HST on March 11 when the south vent shut down. The north vent shut down 2 minutes earlier at 3:11 pm HST. Small amounts of lava drained from the south vent for a few minutes after fountaining stopped.

Episode 13 lava fountaining continues from both vents at 12:45 pm HST on March 11. Fountain heights from the south vent are 425 ft (130 m) and 260 ft (80 m) from the north vent. Lava has covered more than 60% of Halemaʻumaʻu crater floor.

Overnight the fountain heights from both the north and south vent became roughly equal and are 500 feet high or more at dawn (6:40 am HST) on March 11.

North vent fountains reached heights over 600 feet (180 meters) by 3:50 am HST March 11 and fountains from the south vent are about half of that height. Lava flows from both vents have covered more than 30% of Halemaʻumaʻu crater floor.

Fountains from the north vent reached heights of 400-500 feet by 3:20 am HST on March 11. Lava flows began from the south vent at 3:12 am HST and fountains from the south vent had started by 3:30 am HST and reached 200 ft by 3:40 am HST.
