Terrestrial Tephra Spectral Library for the Visible-Near-Infrared and Mid-Infrared Spectral Regions (ver. 1.1, April 2024) Terrestrial Tephra Spectral Library for the Visible-Near-Infrared and Mid-Infrared Spectral Regions (ver. 1.1, April 2024)
Visible/near-infrared (VNIR) and mid-infrared (MIR) spectral library composed of twenty natural tephra samples from ten volcanic sources that span a range of compositions and components. The bulk, glass, and mineral phase compositions of each sample have been measured and VNIR and MIR spectra from four size fractions of each sample were collected. The VNIR spectral library has been...
Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Water-Quality, Bathymetric, and Sonar Measurements in the Black River near Elyria, Ohio, 2021 Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Water-Quality, Bathymetric, and Sonar Measurements in the Black River near Elyria, Ohio, 2021
These datasets were collected in support of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 at the Chemical Recovery Site in Elyria, Ohio, within the East Branch Black River on March 22, 2021. Water-quality and bathymetric data were measured and logged at 1-second intervals (AUV_CRS_Combined_032221.csv). Water-quality data collected during eight different missions were measured with a...
Luminescence, weather, and grain-size data from eastern Chuckwalla Valley, Riverside County, California Luminescence, weather, and grain-size data from eastern Chuckwalla Valley, Riverside County, California
This data release contains luminescence, weather, and sediment grain-size data from eastern Chuckwalla Valley, Riverside County, California. This study investigates sedimentary and geomorphic processes in eastern Chuckwalla Valley, Riverside County, California, a region of arid, basin-and-range terrain where extensive solar-energy development is planned. The objectives were to (1)...

This repository holds the code to reproduce the data analyses and figures found in "Differences in Rhizosphere Microbial Communities Between Native and Non-Native Phragmites australis May Depend on Stand Density" published in Ecology and Evolution written by Wesley A. Bickford, Donald R. Zak, Kurt P. Kowalski, and Deborah E. Goldberg.
Multidecadal Streamflow Trends and Ecological Flow Statistics at USGS Monitoring Stations within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed (1940-2018) Multidecadal Streamflow Trends and Ecological Flow Statistics at USGS Monitoring Stations within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed (1940-2018)
The hydrologic regime of rivers and streams is a major determinant of habitat quality for fish and aquatic invertebrates. Long-term streamflow data were compiled and multidecadal streamflow trends and ecological flow (EFlow) statistics were calculated in support of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Chesapeake Bay Science Initiative toward understanding fish habitat and health in...
Historical shorelines and morphological metrics for barrier islands and spits along the north coast of Alaska between Cape Beaufort and the U.S.-Canadian border, 1947 to 2019 Historical shorelines and morphological metrics for barrier islands and spits along the north coast of Alaska between Cape Beaufort and the U.S.-Canadian border, 1947 to 2019
A suite of morphological metrics were derived from existing shoreline and elevation datasets for barrier islands and spits located along the north-slope coast of Alaska between Cape Beaufort and the U.S.-Canadian border. This dataset includes barrier shorelines and polygons attributed with morphological metrics from five time periods: 1950s, 1980s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s.
