Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

Fluvial-aeolian sediment availability models: Colorado River, Grand Canyon Fluvial-aeolian sediment availability models: Colorado River, Grand Canyon
These data were compiled to model the area of exposed, bare sand along 168 km of the Colorado River between Glen Canyon Dam and Bright Angel Creek, Arizona. Objective(s) of our study were to develop and validate four models of exposed sand area for the study reach, respectively based on 1) single-day maxiumum river discharge, 2) multiple-day river discharge patterning, 3) field-observed...
Topographic and Bank Erosion Pin Data Used in Monitoring of Bank Erosion in Caulks Creek, Wildwood, Missouri, 2022–2023 Topographic and Bank Erosion Pin Data Used in Monitoring of Bank Erosion in Caulks Creek, Wildwood, Missouri, 2022–2023
Topographic data were collected along six reaches (study reach 1, study reach 2, study reach 3, study reach 4, study reach 5, and study reach 6) along Caulks Creek in Wildwood, Missouri, on multiple dates, using terrestrial light detection and ranging (t-lidar), Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), and conventional surveying techniques (Rydlund and Densmore, 2012).These data are...
Digital Surface Models and orthomosaic images from UAS surveys of Jenkinson Lake, El Dorado County, CA Digital Surface Models and orthomosaic images from UAS surveys of Jenkinson Lake, El Dorado County, CA
This data release presents Digital Surface Models (DSM) and orthomosaic images derived from uncrewed aerial system (UAS) surveys conducted at Jenkinson Lake in El Dorado County, California. The surveys were conducted to perform repeat structure-from-motion topographic mapping at the upper end of the reservoir, near the inlets of Sly Park Creek and Hazel Creek, with the purpose of...
Arsenic levels in necropsied Sonora mud turtles from Montezuma Well, Arizona in 2015 Arsenic levels in necropsied Sonora mud turtles from Montezuma Well, Arizona in 2015
Montezuma Well is an unusual fishless desert wetland in central Arizona. Water in the Well is naturally enriched with >100 g/L dissolved geogenic arsenic (As) and supports a relatively simple aquatic desert food web with several endemic invertebrate species. Previous studies of As among various environmental compartments and organisms in Montezuma Well have not included turtles despite...
Data Release for Replicate amphibian swab and standard dilution of artificial DNA data to assess qPCR and sampling detection error for Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis. Data Release for Replicate amphibian swab and standard dilution of artificial DNA data to assess qPCR and sampling detection error for Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis.
We generated a data set from by collecting duplicate swabs from all amphibian individuals sampled at 5 sites (96 individuals) and analyzed these duplicate swabs running 3 subsamples of the extracted DNA in separate qPCR reactions. The resulting data set included 2 swabs per individual with 1 qPCR result and a 2nd swab with 3 qPCR results for detection of Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis...
Sea-level rise and high tide flooding inundation probability and depth statistics at Big Cypress National Preserve, Florida Sea-level rise and high tide flooding inundation probability and depth statistics at Big Cypress National Preserve, Florida
This dataset includes elevation-based probability and depth statistics for estimating inundation under various sea-level rise and high tide flooding scenarios in and around the National Park Service’s Big Cypress National Preserve. For information on the digital elevation model (DEM) source used to develop these datasets refer to the corresponding spatial metadata file (Danielson and...
