Data release for the lower seismogenic depth model of western U.S. earthquakes Data release for the lower seismogenic depth model of western U.S. earthquakes

A model of the lower seismogenic depth distribution of earthquakes in the western United States was developed to support models for seismic hazard assessment that will be included in the 2023 USGS National Seismic Hazard Model. This data release presents a recalibration using the hypocentral depths of events M>1 from the Advanced National Seismic System Comprehensive Earthquake Catalog...

Surface time for sea turtles in the Gulf of Mexico, 2010-2019 Surface time for sea turtles in the Gulf of Mexico, 2010-2019

This dataset contains surface dive times, defined as 0-2 m in the water column, for three species of sea turtles (Kemp's ridleys, loggerheads, and green turtles) tracked via satellite telemetry in the Gulf of Mexico during periods within 2010-2019. It contains information on turtle species, location, proportion of time in "surface" bins, region of the Gulf of Mexico, corresponding...

OAF Tools - R package OAF Tools - R package

This repository contains the source code for the oaftools package. The package creates visual tools to study aftershock behavior and the performance of the Operational Aftershock Forecasting system. The visual tools are: A global map, rendered by Leaflet to show the distribution of earthquakes with forecasts A local map, rendered by Leaflet to show the aftershock sequence and the...

Surveyed coordinates and elevations in a 2017 resurvey of previously established cross sections on the Little Snake and Yampa rivers in Lily and Deerlodge parks, Colorado Surveyed coordinates and elevations in a 2017 resurvey of previously established cross sections on the Little Snake and Yampa rivers in Lily and Deerlodge parks, Colorado

These data were compiled for the National Park Service and Upper Colorado River Endangered Fish Recovery Program. Objective(s) of our study were to resurvey previously established cross sections on the Yampa and Little Snake rivers in the Deerlodge Park area to document changes in channel width, depth, and cross-sectional area. A secondary purpose of this study was to document the...

Carex specuicola genomic data for the southern Colorado Plateau Desert Carex specuicola genomic data for the southern Colorado Plateau Desert

These data were compiled to investigate the demographic and phylogeographic of Carex specuicola. Objectives of our study were to understand the demographic and dispersal history of Carex specuicola across hanging gardens, the hybridization history between Carex specuicola and Carex utahensis, and the population structure of Carex specuicola across its distribution. The data release...

Genetic structure of American black bear populations in the American Southwest and northern Mexico, 1994-2014 Genetic structure of American black bear populations in the American Southwest and northern Mexico, 1994-2014

Microsatellite genotypes for American black bears collected by Gould et al. 2002 and used to assess the genetic structure of American black bear populations in the American Southwest and northern Mexico. Genotypes are for Ursus americanus individuals.

Predator Movements and Duck Nests in Relation to Habitat Features in Suisun Marsh, CA (2016-2019) Predator Movements and Duck Nests in Relation to Habitat Features in Suisun Marsh, CA (2016-2019)

This dataset describes mesopredator locations (raccoons and striped skunks), dabbling duck nest locations (mallard, gadwall, and cinnamon teal), northern harrier nest locations, and random locations in relation to a set of habitat features in Suisun Marsh, California during 2016 through 2019. We designed a series of questions to link fine-scale predator movements and vulnerability of...

Data Release for Distribution of Niclosamide Following Granular Bayluscide Applications in Lotic Systems Data Release for Distribution of Niclosamide Following Granular Bayluscide Applications in Lotic Systems

The granular formulation of Bayluscide [Bayluscide 3.2% Granular Sea Lamprey Larvicide, granular Bayluscide (gB)] is applied in lentic and lotic systems to survey (assessment) and kill (treatment) larval sea lampreys (Petromyzon marinus) in the Great Lakes basin. Granules are spread on the water surface, settle to the sediment surface, and dissolve. The potential risk of niclosamide...
