Data Releases
The data collected and the techniques used by USGS scientists should conform to or reference national and international standards and protocols if they exist and when they are relevant and appropriate. For datasets of a given type, and if national or international metadata standards exist, the data are indexed with metadata that facilitates access and integration.

This dataset includes TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) images of graphic drill core logs showing associated drill core information, a TIFF image of the explanation for the lithology and structure sections of the logs, an Esri shapefile of the locations of the drill holes, and 17 individual .csv files of tabular data that were compiled from handwritten drill core logs. The drill core is...
Structural measurements and their calculated surface traces, South Kawishiwi area, Duluth Complex, Minnesota Structural measurements and their calculated surface traces, South Kawishiwi area, Duluth Complex, Minnesota
This dataset includes a point shapefile representing structural measurements taken from a study area near the South Kawishiwi Intrusion in the Duluth Complex, Minnesota and a line shapefile representing the surface traces of the structural measurements. The structural measurements point file consists of a compilation of data from multiple published and unpublished sources. The surface...

This data release contains borehole geophysical data collected within and near Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, from September 2020 to August 2021. The data accompanies a USGS scientific investigations map from Medler and others (2022). The U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineer Center, collected borehole geophysical data and performed simple...
Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) cyanotoxin data for 21 sites on Lake Okeechobee and the Okeechobee waterway, Florida, USA collected monthly from March 2019 through October 2021 Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) cyanotoxin data for 21 sites on Lake Okeechobee and the Okeechobee waterway, Florida, USA collected monthly from March 2019 through October 2021
Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) data were compiled for the biosynthesis genes of five toxins of interest produced by cyanobacteria as well as an internal control. Sample deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) were collected from 21 sites which includes 17 sites from Lake Okeechobee, and four sites from the Caloosahatchee River and the St. Lucie River. Samples were collected on a...
Estimated Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Sediment Load Reductions from Best Management Practices in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed between 1985 and 2020 Estimated Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Sediment Load Reductions from Best Management Practices in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed between 1985 and 2020
To estimate changes in nitrogen, phosphorus, and sediment loads from technologies and management practices (TMPs), the Chesapeake Bay Program Partnership's CAST model was used to run scenarios with and without TMPs for years between 1985 and 2020 for the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Scenarios were run using the native model segmentation of land-river segments and downscaled to the National

This data release contains the boundaries of assessment units, assessment input data tables and resulting fact sheet data tables for the assessment of undiscovered oil and gas resources in the Paleozoic petroleum systems of the Central European Basin System. The Assessment Unit is the fundamental unit used in the National Assessment Project for the assessment of undiscovered oil and gas...
Data describing infection status and movement ecology of North American waterfowl Data describing infection status and movement ecology of North American waterfowl
These data, which support a USGS authored manuscript, describe how active and previous previous infection with avian influenza impacts the movement ecology of several wild waterfowl species that overwinter in California. Results varied by species and demonstrate that the relationships between avian influenza infection and wild bird movements are context- and species-dependent.
